"This is the first time I left a review, because I don't normally believe in it. we also run a bar and know how harmful it can be, but I felt we had to leave an evaluation for the blues bar. we visited the 2nd april on Saturday, as our daughter is at the plymouth university and it is very recommended for eating and music. we were not disappointed! we came to a busy bar and were quickly welcomed and shown to our table above. we were offered a table window with views of the barbican and it was a beautiful environment and touching how they were busy. the restaurant was clean and well furnished. it had a great feeling and blossomed with music flowing from below. what was made for us all night was our waiter, his annoyance was really felt, the restaurant like a pro running, he did not last the whole time we were there. his passion for work in the industry really came through the care of all the tables and really time for all, although it was a really busy night. the eating was stunning and filling (we had steak, fish of the day, ripen and the blues bar huh) fantastic filling portioning, it was nice to recommend eating and for it to supply. we would normally not go for dessert, but tim told us that cheesecake and treacle tart were amazing and he was right kudos to the chefs. a really great note was in the position to get an Irish coffee for my mother, although it wasn't on the menu that workers supply in every wise. over everything eating and atmosphere were fantastic, but timour made our night with the level of customer service and it was there with the best. we will recommend blues bar very and cannot wait to return. Thank you."

Great food and live music several nights a week! We both had burgers which were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend when visiting Plymouth.

Huge portions, great service, great value for a family meal celebrating GCSE results, and we didn’t realise that it’s family owned (rather than the usual chain) so all the better for it!

As locals, I can highly recommend a visit to the Blues bar. The service is top notch and the food excellent. What we don’t eat comes home with us for supper. A great place to visit if you want to meet friends or family...for a catch up. Nice chilled atmosphere. Well worth a visit

Walked around the harbour looking for somewhere to have a light lunch and ended up here. We ordered 5 starters as snacks and they were just wow!! The presentation was great and I was delighted with the flavour. Crab cakes were amazing, chicken wings in...BBQ sauce were too. OH had garlic mushrooms and pork belly and devoured them. Some cheesy garlic bread to share along with a few beers and some wine topped it off. If I was here longer I would be going back another night for dinner
