"As an English national living in Germany, who has also been to India countless times and lived in Singapore I feel qualified to at least comment on Indian food. I have also tried many Indian restaurants in and south of Munich. In my view this restaurant simply has the best Indian cuisine I have tasted in Germany and is comparable with the very best I have tasted in India, Singapore and the UK. I have now sampled this restaurant around 9 times. Many as take away. The chefs specialities are rich and deep in flavour, with individual sauces (not all made from the same base sauce as in some neighbouring Indian restaurants). The food is incredibly tasty - my favourites include (but are not limited to) Kashmiri Gosht; Chilli Chicken and Palak Chana. The service and hosptality I have experienced is warm, generous and sincere. For any Brits (or locals) looking for excellent Indian food I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. My mouth is watering just thinking about it."

The food and I were absolutely excellent, and the owner was extremely kind and fed us 15 minutes after close.

Online order does not work. After an hour of waiting time, no one knew about telephone demand. Very annoying!! Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner View menu

We were unfortunately disappointed by eating both the butter chicken and the chicken corma were completely tasteless and resembled a simple cream sauce.

The food was fine, not very good but also not bad. Unfortunately, the vegetables were still a bit raw, very crisp. I also had more vegetables in the sauce than chickens.

I just went into the restaurant to have a look and decided to order some take away. The service was good and friendly and the wait there was fine. Free WiFi!We enjoyed the food and we'll certainly do it again. I would have like to have had a glass of water offered though, whilst waiting View menu

Maharani is an excellent restaurant. It probably is the best indian restaurant in Bavaria. It's food makes it comparable to the best restaurant and its service makes it a notch above the rest. The quality of food is great and all the gentlemen working at the restaurant are extremely helpful and attentive. Mango Lassi and Bhindi Chana of this restaurant are extremely recommendable. The only negative is that this restaurant doesn't have a proper place for nappy changing. Which makes it difficult to visit it with small babies.

Family of four + guest. The quality of Indian restaurants varies a lot, so we the adults, were guarded at first. Added to that Gruenwald has a pricey reputation, so we sheepishly looked at the menu. A nice welcome, a casual but very clean restaurant setting and a quick glance at the prices set us quickly at ease. We ordered a mixed starter and a mix of dishes, mostly lamb and chicken. We were very happy with the quality of the food. The meat was extremely tender and the flavours exploded in your mouth. Our two usually fussy kids were fighting over the Chicken Tikka!! I have no problem recommending this restaurant and we will certainly return... They also do take away.

"I was here for business a few weeks ago. We had met relatively early, so the restaurant was still very empty. Later it became relatively full. The restaurant is quite rustic, but at the same time very bright and somehow modern furnishings. The atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming. The service was very friendly and attentive. We got the menus right away and when two more people came after, they got a menu immediately. The waiter even noticed that we had an English speaking person and offered him an English card. We first ordered a hot drink. We were a total of 7 people, which is why it took some time, but that was not a problem. The cappuccino I had was very, very delicious! Then we ordered two appetizer plates, once mixed with cheese and once mixed with meat, sausage and cheese. There were two different breads, a dark one and a bright one, which was also reimbursed when one realized that the basket was empty. The plates were very versatile, looked good and tasted really delicious! There was something for everyone. Shortly after the appetizers came, we ordered cold drinks and our main dishes. However, we encouraged the kitchen to have some time with the main dishes and to serve them only about half an hour later. The drinks came very fast and the main foods came exactly right in time. I had a salad with fried shrimps, a Schmanddip and herbal baguette. The shrimps were qualitatively very, very good! And also the salad, the dip and the bread gave a harmonious composition. It was really delicious and saturating. All the others were also very satisfied with their dishes. I'd come back anytime! The hunting castle was simply a perfect place for our meeting, the service was very commendable and both food and drinks were excellent!"

"we have already been aware that Cypriots go to the Greek/Turkish direction, in the case of the tavern kyprios clearly direction Greece. the restaurant is located in the middle of a residential area and surprisingly you could find some parking nearby under the week around 19 clock. a little wild looked out the hustle around the terrace and this little chaotic impression continued inside. this was mainly due to the extremely many deco. the niche that was meant for us is probably intended for 8 people. we found 10 people and it was just ok, but good if the slip in at the back then, the best not to get up in the 2 hours. our waiters have been nice and relatiw flott. we have also been given the menu that is quite clearly held. on demand we also got the tagsmap. the has kept some great surprises ready. but also the standard card had to offer a few dishes that I have not seen before on a map. to the appetizer I shared a mixed cold-warm appetizer board with my man (10,80€) and an octatopus salad (5,90€). the plate was plentiful and very good. 4 pasty, baked zucchini and aubergine, cheese, filled paprika and wine leaf and beans/paprika salad. the octopus salad was brilliant, a large portion and very delicate and simply delicious. the waiting period for the appetizers was still quite short, so it took a lot longer with the main dishes. the restaurant was also full and there were other large groups. for the bridging of the waiting period there was a ouzo :-) at the main court fell my choice on tawas (scarried bark with tomato and cumin with supplements - 11,90€). in principle it has been a gulasch and it was really very good. large portion, very delicate meat. the caraway taste only very easy. the inlay plate also did not leave any wish open (seed, kartoffels, sworn vegetables). I was then allowed to try the loukoumades, very fine. and a very large portion. that then brought a problem in the short term because no EC card payment is possible. but it worked out everything by giving birth. small deductions in the B note, but the most important (the eating) was simply great and therefore rounded up 5 stars."
