"Our prepaid voucher was valid for 1 year, but we were surprised to be asked for an additional £2 to cover a price increase. The sandwiches were uninspired and cold, as if they had been taken straight from the fridge. The cakes were tasty, but also served cold. The scones, however, were delicious. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. With some more thought put into the afternoon tea menu, it could easily be transformed into the delightful treat it should be. The atmosphere was a bit somber, and adding more light could make the restaurant feel cheerier during the day. These improvements are simple fixes that could greatly enhance the overall experience."

Burger lunch with wine. Obviously paying for the refurb. Not sure I liked sitting with guests in gowns. A separate area for spa guests like other hotels should be considered.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this fantastic local restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I decided to try the harissa chicken dish and it exceeded my expectations.

Attended for afternoon tea with the spa day. Tasty options, good mix of sandwiches and cake. Attended for breakfast, small selection, well cooked and topped up. Found service very average both times, not particularly welcoming.

We stayed over night at the hotel, food was amazing. My husband had the steak and myself the rigatoni, recommended 100%. Even if you aren’t staying overnight, get booked in to try the food It was like a 5* restaurant, great service

Had a lovely overnight stay, accommodation was nice, familiarise were excellent, staff were very attentive and friendl. Lee in the spa and Jamie Finlay restaurant really stood out. Lovely treatments from Lee and Jamie was super attentive and kept us entertained. Fabulous stay
