"This beautiful bistro takes up the whole space of a former electricity sub-station in quiet but fashionable Alsterdorf. It sits right next to the Alster river with rowing boats and cruise vessels passing regularly weather permitting. The same applies to the idyllic terrace where...walkers stop for coffee and those with more time on their hands spend leisurely hours doing lunch/brunch/whatever. The menu is short+sweet and contains something for every appetite. We like their flammkuchen and salads, but soups and pasta also do the trick. The wine list is a pleasant surprise and not too expensive. Refills are made directly at the table so you get to see the bottle nice. Staff is very friendly and relaxed. The location makes it especially interesting for those travelling to the airport there should always be time for a stopover at Braband about mins drive to the terminals. Also convenient: The place belongs to Alsterkrug Hotel (Best Western) right around the corner."

Enjoyed this place while participating in a hugh family and friends evening. The food, prepared in buffet form was just excellent. The service very attentive and effective. The bistro is about miles away from the airport and sits on the river banks. Lovely scenery.

It is located in a hidden place by the Alster. Great location with a beautiful view. Nice service and lovely food. Had the deep fried shrimps. Cooked beautifully and served with bread. All other dishes looked tempting and worth trying. If you are a guest at the close by appartello apartments, then you’ll get a 5% discount.

On a business trip, I decided to try this quaint bistro based on a very good opinion from a receptionist at my hotel which nota-bene was just around the corner. I had ginger-carrot soup which was very refreshing in taste and Ravioli with spinach and...a glass of red wine. The service was perfect and the food excellent. Well done the staff and owner. The presentation of the dishes and amount was perfect.

We recently had lunch here and were impressed with this excellent restaurant. The place is beautifully situated right at the outskirts of the Alster', with a lovely terrace. This specific Sunday they had a lunch special with a Mediterranean BBQ. We ordered a bottle of...Chardonnay from their Weingut Geisser offer, which was friendly in both taste and price. We kicked off with a good and wide choice from their salad bar, combined with fantastic gamba's. This was followed by a very good variety of pieces of meat, well prepared by a very friendly chef. Staff here is excellent and a true asset. We loved this place and will gladly return.
