Didn't eat here. Just had a quick rest and a conforting cuppa tea. But the owner was super friendly and I think kindness deserves an award nowadays, so, On this notice a very positive review from me.

Came here looking for some rest after broqsing the charity shops down the road and had a lovely comforting cup of tea. The owner was extremely kind and normaly I wouldn't write review for just having a cuppa, however. Kindness needs an award and I wanted to point this out.

I have been friends with the owner for years and the food and service at this restaurant are always excellent. Recently had a family meal there with 10 adults and 6 children, and everyone was served their meal at the same time. Overall, I would rate the food and service as a 5 out of 5. The price per person for dinner is typically between £10-20.

We arrived as a party of 4 and ordered drinks and food, one of our guests was arriving 15 minutes later only to be told the kitchen was closing which meant 4 of us ate and one of us didn’t. We were also harassed to finish our food 10 minutes after it was delivered. All in all the service was really poor, bordering on rudeness. We should have been told on arrival that they were about to close. Wouldn't recommend and certainly won’t be back!

The restaurant is very cozy without feeling too crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed the tea, sandwich, and chips - especially the tasty fresh bread. The chips were excellent, although I had to request vinegar for them. The service was top-notch and we had a fantastic dining experience for lunch. The prices are extremely reasonable, with the average cost per person ranging from £1 to £10. Overall, we would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5.

We had a difficult time finding a restaurant that had availability or was open. After trying several places with no luck, we stumbled upon Brodies. We were delighted to find this hidden gem! The atmosphere was lovely, with plenty of space and friendly staff. We were able to park right outside. The food was incredible! I wish we lived closer as we were just passing through. I had the steak pie, which was without a doubt the best I've ever had. The meat was incredibly tender with plenty of it, the gravy was perfect, and the puff pastry was amazing. The sticky toffee pudding was also exceptional. I hope to visit again in the future because that steak pie was truly outstanding.
