"The cafe du port is a very nice restaurant, you get a warm welcome from the staff and although it is a modern building because it is right on the pretty little port you still It has a nice atmosphere But you are there for...the food and you won't be disappointed the fish is excellent, I had the fish soup followed by the fish of the day which was hake, it was cooked to perfection, well presented and very flavoursome. The amazing thing was the price, a three course meal for €27 each, menus these days can be considerably more expensive yet of poorer quality I would recommend this establishment."

Came here for lunch w/o a reservation but found us a table for 2, excellent moules far more than we could eat. Originally went to the other restaurant Mar Bella, but turned away by a surly and rude manager who said he was closed and.. no bar when we asked for coffee at 11.45 in the morning.

One of the owners of our hotel, Le Landemer, recommended Cafe du Port in Omonville to us for dinner and we're very happy that he did! On a nasty, rainy night we had a very good seafood dinner. The food was very fresh, well prepared,...beautiful and tasty! We thoroughly enjoyed it! Try it if you're in the area!

Large selection of good quality fresh fish and seafood dishes. Very good wine and drinks menu. Free parking at the back of the restaurant. Service was speedy and with a smile. Food equally served in the bar/lounge area. Children friendly restaurant with spacious table space...and no music. Need to reserve table in advance. A must try ! View menu

This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. As a group of seven, we were made most welcome for Sunday lunch. The owner explained the menu and the food was wonderful. The mise-en-bouche set the scene for delicious fish courses and perfect guinea...fowl. The excellent wine list was comprehensive and fairly priced. Overall it was great value and all served with a smile Highly recommended.

As a recommendation of hotel mate, made reservation for diner. Service and food was great, the entree plate de fruits de mer, with the oysters was superb. See the pictures for the other dishes we had. We closed with coffee and a 20 yrs Calvados,...a perfect closing of a delicious dinner. The view on the harbor is great, the old Gauls and Romans used the spot due its deep water and natural protection.

"In response to the owner: Asking to come at 7:30 p.m./8 p.m. is it late for you? There are people who have driven more than an hour to come, and do you find it normal that they eat in a conference room? There was a whiteboard with things still written on it, files misplaced in broken cupboards, not even the effort to put a tablecloth, is that a VIP room? Who is in the abuse? If it wasn 't the owner I find it even more serious that he took the liberty of telling us it 's not my problem . Then we didn 't all have starter, main course, dessert... so it 's a lie to say 30€ per person. And when a restaurant charges €400 just for a table, don’t you think the least they could have done was to say a simple “goodbye” to us? Laugh as much as you like, and I 'll have fun elsewhere. Worst restaurant I have ever eaten in. You are already required to come at 7 p.m. when you are in a large group. Then we sell you a VIP room, which is in fact a conference room, with an office table and chair. No “restaurant” atmosphere, not even an effort at decoration. Friendly waiters and not too bad service. On the other hand, unpleasant owner, who tells you it 's not my problem when an aperitif offered on his menu is missing. If that 's your problem, when you force your customers to come early, it 's the least you can do to check what you have left. And regarding the meals, for the price I expected better, and I have already eaten better for less. Finally, no goodbye from the boss or the waiters, for a table of 12 people and a bill of €400.. Lamentable, I absolutely do not recommend. Too bad because the landscape is magnificent."
