"The venue is located at Mount Gerald. Now, I wouldn't mount Gerald if he was glazed in honey, but would go back for the vegan fish and chips or, indeed, many of the other enticing items on the menu and the friendly and very efficient service. The value for money out competes many like for like venues and the quality and innovation is exemplary; who can imagine giving tofu a fishlike and flavourful consistency and then wrapping it in outstandingly crispy beer batter. Then there is the artisan gift shop and fine art prints. And the view is breaktaking, sitting high above the Cromarty Firth, just east of Cromarty Bridge, with views towards Dingwall and Conon Bridge, and the mountains beyond Fairburn, Faebait and Aultvaich filling the horizon. All in all, a wonderful experience that I hope to enjoy many times in the future."

"This small restaurant is situated just outside Dingwall, perhaps a five minute drive. It is worth getting to though, as the food is of a high standard. It is a restaurant and bar, although the bar does not take away from the dining experience you would not even notice it's there. There is also a separate dining area too, so you do not even have to be in view of the bar for those who prefer it a bit more quiet. The prices are very reasonable for this type of formal restaurant, and the food is delicious. There is a wide range of different meals, mainly your typical Scottish fare of fish, chicken, steak, and such like. There are vegetarian offers too though. There are also some tasty desserts to shoose from. The staff are friendly and it retains its old fashioned charm whilst still appearing modern. Highly recommended."

"Only VEGAN where MISS YING is. I was back a few times. The first time, we just went out because they were busy, the menu didn't even have a vegetarian option and we were simply degraded by even broking the theme when they were clearly overwhelmed. For the second time I stopped early, for lunch. The person working there was very nice and tried to be helpful. When I asked if I could have a vegan pad thai or something else, they could just do without animals. She went back, asked the cook. The cook said that pad thai could not be made without fish sauce and he offered other dishes listed on the menu as meat dishes. I was perplexed. I didn't know why the cook could make meat dishes vegan, but not Pad Thai. I asked if the pad-thai was prepared and was said no. I didn't feel comfortable. I've expressed all this and compared it with my first experience. I was told that if Miss Ying had been there, there would be no problem (and that was the case with my first visit). But not the case if she's not here. So I bought something sriracha and unfortunately it was. I'm not sure I'm going back for a meal, but I'm gonna buy sauces. My original review: This is a sweet café in downtown Dingwall. The owner will happily prepare any dish you like and make it vegan. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. "fabulously find them on dingwall high street. the large outdoor seating area was perfect for a band of sweaty runners and we enjoyed a full, cooked breakfast and delicious coffee for a great price. they also have gluten-free bread with a separate toaster. what is less common is that the employees are enthusiastic outdoor enthusiasts and provide information about local walks and beauty points!"

"Fabulous café in Dingwall. The produce is all local and prepared on site, except for the cakes, which are home made. We turned up as two cyclists wanting an early breakfast and were very impressed with both the food and the hospitality. We had a couple of small Scottish breakfasts and found them to be universally excellent you know it's good when the black pudding is quality stuff. Will very happily go back next time I'm anywhere near Inverness even if it meant a bit of a drive. Pro tip: it's used by the locals, so you might have to chill for a few minutes as they get through the orders."
