"We popped into Maximilian for lunch during the Weihnachtsmarkt. The restaurant was very crowded, however we were able to sit at one of the last tables. The interior of the restaurant is quite different from most other restaurants in Germany. The room is filled with...cute cafestyle tables and the artwork is very classic, especially the frescoe on the ceiling. Service was pleasant, however a little slow. We ordered the Caesar salad and the Flammkuchen Ziegenkäse. The flammkuchen was topped with goats cheese, dates, and lots of red onions. The salad was quite delicious and the portion was generous. I would definitely recommend the salad. The flammkuchen was of average taste"

We had dinner at this place and it was really nice. Food was good and price was affordable. We are a very nice salad and a dish with German sausage that was very nice

The restaurant offers many places to sit and have a drink or a meal. But what surprised us was the entrance via the parking place at the back a large smoking area that you would nog expect in present day Western Europe

Cafe Max has a pretty good breakfast menu, for large and small appetites, and of course a great central location. Nice spot for a evening beer too, although I haven't eaten dinner here. There's also a separate smoking section in the back

I go there sometimes for work. The coffee is good and it has a nice atmosphere. To get WiFi you need to ask the waitors who print out a code for you. Works only of times. And even if it’s pretty empty around...noon it is quite an effort to get the waitors attention

Arrived to Speyer to early to check into the hotel so we stopped here for breakfast. No one spoke English so it was up to me to draw from my German language skills. Since there were no pictures on the breakfast menu, the waitress and...I managed to figure out what everything was and the of us had some great meals. The eggs benedict was a good choice and the fresh squeezed OJ was a hit

We visited there on our way through Germany, ant though we were due to stay two nights, we came for the second after staying en route. The hotel guests had lost all our check in documents, which can happen, though I had to wait close...to minutes at the bar trying to pay for our breakfast. Upon returning in the evening, the rooms ac has a leak and is dripping onto the cupboard, though I would say it is cool on a day topping Celsius! in the room and extremely clean. The breakfast and coffee quality also are very good. I wouldn’t race back here, though if stuck for a place I would come again

We stayed at the Maximilian's apartments and were very pleased with them. They are modern and clean. We were arriving by car and the directions to the parking garage were misspelled and since we were using GPS we had some difficulties. We ate dinner and breakfast here. Breakfast was excellent ( farmer frustuck & eggs Benedict) and our server extremely pleasant. Dinner was another matter. The server we had seemed totally disinterested in serving people who did not speak fluent German. We tried our best with translations but he appeared sharp and impatient. This kind of spoiled the experience

Einschenken muss man selbst.
