"very happy that we went with tesco clubcard, as I would be even more disappointed if I had paid real money. our booking was taken for 7.30, but we were the last there and they couldn't wait to get us into the...extent that they wanted dessert orders while we were halfway through the net, and the bill came with dessert. eating was at best mediocre. calamari was tiny pieces, more than broken. mains that we should know better than to order a whisker, now that it is mai, but they were really subduing and the sauce was oversaled. the lach rushs with kartoffel and drilling was very easy and something they could make home really fast and easy.ed, rushed service nice waitress that was a plus the meal. not in the value of £75 (drink extra), so glad that I don't pay. will not go back."

so we are my third time and despite the service still a little slower the breakfast and the locals themselves are worth a visit.

Very busy when we arrived and had a 15 minute wait so reserved a table and carried on shopping for a while. Table was ready for us when we got back...

Surprised to see poor reviews on here as my veggie main was one of the nicest meals I’ve eaten this year. It’s a little on the pricey side, but the food was great and quick service. View menu

when I stood at the sign and said waiting to be sitting on 5mins place and totally ignored, I decided to take a place and hope for better. then I sat for 5 minutes and was still ignored. After approaching the server area, I was told to go back to the entrance and wait to sit. I said I had waited and ignored 10mins. the answer was that I had to move sitting! I'm gone!

I usually don't write reviews, but I was so impressed by the service we received here! I visited with some friends to celebrate a birthday and we all agreed that our waitress was absolutely amazing! she was just wonderful and left a lasting impression. on all of us. it is not often that they receive this level of service today. you are amazing! many thanks for their great

Whilst the service was fine the food was truely awful, perhaps the worst meal we’ve had in a restaurant. Everything was over cooked and in the case of my wife’s prawns also so un fresh that they were inedible (we did get a refund). My...Boeuf bourguignon was clearly straight from a packet, the ‘charred’ broccoli was a soggy mess, beans were brown instead of green etc etc. Avoid at all costs! View menu

A present for our 30th wedding Anniversary from a member through buy a gift . We arrived here sat 23rd April very happy and looking forward to a special treat for our milestone . We had the afternoon tea for 2 . Well don’t bother...the over cooked rolls were dry , no butter , Ham pate or Camembert cheese that was it no other filling . scone was good but all the rest was pastry.I was disappointed and would not go there again.

Frantic service but generally friendly but the food... it was dire. The boulonbasise was lukewarm tomato base with a couple of mussels and prawns thrown in The fish was not.cooked and it was most definitely not fresh. They wanted an eye-watering £17.95 for this dreadful...food. Told the waitress it wasn't cooked and she dug through it with my fork on the table in front of us. She agreed and took £7 off so paid £10 for 2 prawns and 2 mussels in a tomato sauce. Probably our last visit. Couldn't be bothered to argue with them but will vote with my feet..

"Went for an impromptu meal with her indoors, as this was a local pub we've not been in for a long time we thought will pop in. Greeted by an over enthusiastic bar person who was dragging out the empties from the night before, ordered a couple of drinks and we sat down with the menu's, after perusing the menu we were ready to order, at the same time we were ready a regular couple walked in and sat at there regular table and oredered there regular meal, but the regular gentleman actually wanted an extra sausage with his sausage and chips, well! The kerfuffle this caused was astronomical, this conversation went on for Many many minutes, my wife and I was desperately trying to catch her attention to have another drink, eventually my wife went to the bar and waited, we got served eventually. Then our food came out of the kitchen, we went for the light bites as we were in a snacky mood, Chicken strips Mozzarella bites Chips with curry sauce and nachos. We never got the nachos as there was no guacamole BTW Chips came out which were actually fries, covered in this sauce, gross, then we had 3 chicken strips with no garnish £4.95 £1.63 each Then 4 mozzarella bites came out, no, nothing else just 4 mozzarella bites, £4.95 £1.24 each. So if you want have your pants pulled down and be robbed of your hard earned cash then this is the place to go, as for me and my wife we won't be. We did mention the poor quality and value for money but it was brushed under the dirty carpet and she was going to feed our comments back to the kitchen."

"I was excited to revisit the New Inn after many years, as it used to be a favorite spot of mine. My group of 8 had pre-ordered at the request of the New Inn, but we were told 15 minutes after our booking time that our food was just being prepared. An hour later, our food still hadn't been served. After checking with the staff, the manager assured us that our order was next. Another 10 minutes passed before our food finally arrived. The gammon came with sides that we didn't like and were not mentioned on the menu. The portions were oversized, which was nice, but they were too much and off-putting. The salad trimmings were of poor quality. The fish in batter was enjoyed by those who ordered it. The main meals were okay, but I would have preferred better quality over quantity. We had to chase the staff for a glass of water, and even after being offered dessert menus, no one came to take our order. When we decided to follow up at the bar, the manager seemed more interested in finding out which staff member had failed to take our order than in solving the issue. The service was okay but could have been better, as no one checked on us after our meals were served. It seems like the staff could benefit from more positive training from a supportive mentor. When we asked for the bill, it took a while for it to be brought to us, so we ended up paying on the way out. It's a shame, as I had fond memories of the New Inn, but I am unlikely to return after this experience."
