"El Crisol is one of the largest places in the town to sit and eat. It looks out onto to the river/port and is open for most of the day. I visited with my wife and her parents on some occasions, with just my wife on others, and by myself a couple of times. The tapas were different on some days but tortilla seems to be the main one. This tortilla contains onions (some folk care about this, I like it either way) and is very runny. It was my first tortilla cooked this way, I enjoyed it but it did keep repeating on me. On one occasion, we were given ensaladilla rusa which is something I never say no to. It was a decent ensaladilla and service tends to be quick although not overly friendly/attentive. I had breakfast there one morning which consisted of pan e tomates, orange juice and a coffee. The orange juice was the best part, absolutely delicious. My wife ordered a sandwich one day and we shared it, it wasn’t the best sandwich that I have eaten but it’s not the worst one. I’m not a fan of sliced bread produced in a factory nor do I like ham with more water content than meat. That said, it’s a place worth visiting to grab a drink or to meet someone at."

Abundante comida, rica y a buen precio.

View menu

Stopped in at 10:30 am on a weekday because the menu out front has breakfast items printed on it. Sat down ordered coffee. Tried to order anything on the menu from out front, only to be told “no cocina.” Go somewhere else if you want to eat.

Good place, just asked for a tapa with a beer. Pretty common in these villages. No sorry, the kitchen is closed, we don’t offer free tapas, however, you can get anything from a la carte menu. But…didn’t you say the kitchen is closed? Don’t go, they fill up the tables with tapas once tourism goes in October. I’m a local.

"Looks good, feels good, tastes good. The venue integrates Galician rural architecture with delicate touches like fresh flowers, a beautiful teal tile bathroom, cool decor touches, family memories, and fashion and arts magazines but never too try hard or pretentious, it’s just a very cool inviting space!! It offers the best variety of desserts, cold and hot breakfast drinks and a savoury menu to die for! Totally recommend the spanish omelette, any of the in house baked sweet treats (the cookies and rainbow cake mmm) and all the cool avo toast combinations. Good alternatives for vegan and food allergies too!!! If you like good coffee or home made ice tea blends this is your place to be. The staff is well informed, friendly and professional. Shoutiut to the cheerful waitress Annie, who made every morning the best way to start the day with her service and smile! The toilet area is sparkling clean and it smells so nice... <3 there’s also hand cream and sanitizers all around the venue. I mean... just it’s these small details. Also, very important, the toilet signage is inclusive, offering a safe space for everyone. Open minded and LGBTQ+ friendly, which is very empowering and forward thinking for a town like O Grove. I wouldn’t imagine my mornings in O Grove without one or two visits to this spot, just for pleasure or to work with my laptop from the terrace. Who doesn’t want an outdoor office like that? Music is soft, current and tasteful; and the ambience is just so inviting and nice! LOVES IT! Five stars!!!"
