"based on several people who recommend this place, I decided to cure the advice and book a table for a Valentine's Day. it was really unexpected and beautiful that they offered a bouquet service (paid for separately) that could have ordered flowers and delivered to the table before we arrived for booking. the table we were provided was a stand with seating up to 6 people (and the flowers,) the really brilliant, thoughtful and gave us a lot of space for the filling of which we were just to order. the personal was attentive, sincere and responsive from beginning to end. in the rule, our experiences have varied with mid-eating menus or check requests that can take a long time and they feel somewhat ignored and neglected this was absolutely not the experience in cottonopolis. I've never been happy to pay the service fee. we decided to go for 'a la carte' in contrast to the fixed price taste of cotton menu as we prefer to get everything we like the sound of. a mixture of sushi yakitori, grilled green, chicken catsu, fish, gyoza and even dessert was ordered. we were recommended to order 3 plates that are a solid recommendation if they have a huge appetit order about 5 6 plates with drinks and heavier sides / dishes like rice, bao bungalows is better suited if they want to feel full at a point in the evening! we look forward to the return and try the other articles!"

large food < br/> I liked this place they let us put to eat almost 10 o'clock. I didn't know what to expect, what had been really good! Japanese fusion. excellent. good cool mood. great music.

The food quality cannot justify the price at that quantity. 4 small basic pieces of Sushi for £13. Really small portion across the whole menu. The atmosphere was loud and the staff were slow. The food was not terrible but there are much better options nearby for that price if you want food.

We got the chance to look at the tasting menu and decide what we wanted to order. The food came at the right time and it was super nice and tasty. Service was good and the only reason that I’m not giving 5 stars it is because we were seated by the toilets and the e emergency exit were it was very cold

Didn't get the name of the bartender but he made me a twist on the espresso martini with whiskey and it was amazing as well as other cocktails. One with raw cocoa powder on top got me a sore throat for hours, stuff like that never works raw on top of a cocktail. And then I saw the manager pouring some white wine.in the jigger and then not washing it. What's the point of a great selection of wines, not a single Italian tho, if you mix flavours by not washing your equipment?

We had an amazing evening here and tasted the special 7 course menu they were running in January for £25!! What a deal. It was really busy for a Monday night and the food is definitely the reason behind that! The crispy squid was my favourite dish the honey sauce was something out of this world. The pork gyoza was also probably the best I’ve ever had. We inhaled the food so quickly but unfortunately we were kept waiting on one of our courses for quite a bit of time. I believe we may have been forgotten about. However this didn’t spoil the evening and the food was worth the wait when it arrived. Would love to come back and the young guy that served us was fab!

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
