"here for lunch with two friends and found a pretty good burger. the stables pub is located in the middle of the danson park in bexleyheath. the park is on an old estate with a large farmhouse and lake. the large stall building was eventually rebuilt, I don't know when, in a pub restaurant. the building itself is beautiful, class 2 listed and built in the 1700s. it is also a great place to come when they have a family, as there is an impressive modern playground close by, with sprinkler to walk under the hot weather and lots of space for the children. I ordered the emmental and bacon rindfleischburger with fritten while my friends had a chicken burger and a grilled chicken breast with chorizo and smoked specksalat. I found the burger a considerable 7oz and a good, tasty mint. the Brioche-Hunge was beautifully partially soaked and it came with a small pot tomaten and jalapeno relish. the melted cheese was very delicious and thick with a large plate of bark tomato. really nice! they were not great. they seemed overcooked, a bit too dark and hard, and although that was not so hot. you can get sweet potato fryers with your meal, like one of my well-known did, and they seemed a bit better. but overall not enough attention to the chips. the chicken burger of my friend was in order and the chicken salad was well received and well looked out with roasted thick cut, rustic brot on the side, lots of fresh green and a generous partly grilled chicken. the stables is in a really beautiful location, and it is especially good in the beer garden at the front on a sunny day. I give them high marks for their cattle burger and the cost are also reasonable, about £10-£12 per head, depending on what they drink. See if you didn't."
