"a really great restaurant with traditional polish. when they are political and home, this is a good place to visit. if they don't, but want to try something else and eat in a great atmosphere they should also come to daquiste. the restaurant is located in south kensington, just minutes from the tube. it is very cozy, with dimming light and very friendly staff. I invited my friend, because she hadn't polished before. we didn't want to eat all day and get very hungry. for starters we ordered the traditional borsch suppe (clear beet soup with dumplings) and some bigos, with both arranged delicious. for the net we got the duck with cranberry and kartoffels, venison with kartoffel dumplings and beet salad and veal in white wine sauce. they could definitely taste that all the products used were fresh, and we were happy (and filled) at the end of the meal. daquiste has a very interesting way to serve all the foods, with the cook comes with all the pots, and together with the waiter put it on the tellers before them. it adds something to the meal, and it is nice to talk to the cook. from a gluten-free point of them, once I asked what gluten-free I was surprised with the great selection area that was a very positive surprise. I definitely recommend to come to daquiste, especially if you want a place that combines good food and a relaxed atmosphere."

the best pollish restaurant. I recommend the tatar as a starter followed by pork cheeks in domestic senfsauce with herbal wodka during the whole meal to sip.

I was absolutely never raised to boast, show-off or name drop. it was considered rather unhealthy and simply not done, and I have passed this on to my own children, and yet I will turn off this blog post that only does that, not even discreetly, but through the shed load, because I can simply not contain how privileged I feel, long good friends with interior architects exceptional, charles rutherfoord.

wing last week to daquise for dinner and what a disappointment. bad tasting and overpriced eating and what is worse, a mouse ran around the restaurant between tables under our feet watching fortified photo of it! when I told the staff, they just laughed and made bad sweat. if they are concerned about food hygiene at all and are not a big fan of mice running around their feet, I would stay away from this place.

I was at daquise with 20 Italian friends as usual, but this time it was for my birthday. I put my birthday gift next to me in a small bag under the table and in general chaos it was stolen. when I realized it, I told the owner and we were the last ones left at the whole place, they had just finished cleaning and the staff rushed out of the place without saying anything. Unfortunately, it is almost certain that there was one of the employees while cleaning as it was under the table and had a necklace inside, there were few customers next to us and there was always someone on the table, except that we were to say goodbye, and the personal was cleaning. No...read more

A really great restaurant with traditional polish food. If you’re polish and home-sick, this is a good place to visit. If you’re not, but want to try something else and eat in a great atmosphere you should come to Daquiste too. The restaurant is located in South Kensington, minutes away from the tube. Its very cosy, with dim lights and very friendly staff. I’ve invited my friend, as she never had polish food before. We were trying not to eat for the whole day, arriving very hungry. For starters we ordered the traditional Borsch soup (clear beetroot soup with dumplings), and some Bigos, with both dishes being delicious. For mains we got the Duck with cranberry and mashed...read more

A meal that takes you back in time. It's been there for years ask the maitre d' for exactly when and he'll puff out his chest and tell you and used to feed Polish spies during the 2nd world war. Now you'll dine amongst 21st century homesick London Poles, artists and beautiful bohemian families. Meat dumplings, cheese dumplings, vegetable dumplings, roast goose, borscht, smoked herrings with sour cream and onions. Great value house wine, and delicious vodkas, steak tartare (they make it in front of you which makes it taste even better a real theatre-piece), livers in chocolate sauce, stuffed Polish eggs. Feels like you're in someone's house. Staff are fantastic. This place has...read more
