"Our tour group of 32 arrived at this restaurant for the buffet lunch after our city walking tour and it was 12.15pm when we arrived.Despite of the fact that the restaurant was quite crowded then (as there were several tour groups dinning there), we were instantly ushered to a specific section of the restaurant, where all of us sat over 4 huge round tables. The restaurant was quite spacious, bright and offer quite a good spread of buffet, ranging from Chinese dishes to Western, Live cooking and Seafood (but you will need to top up extra to have them), Japanese, Desserts and Fruits etc. Most of the food items were either deep fried though some were stir-fried.Well, in terms of variety and spread, overall it was good. But in terms of quality, it was just passable. Several food were cold (assumed they had prepared and cooked them well very early and left them there), meat was hard and not chewy and vegetables were not washed thoroughly as there were some sand or small particles. The soup on the day of our visit was the Chinese sour-ish soup, extremely sour and not nice.As for the desserts and fruits, it was quite ok and fine as they offer pastries and cakes, with both fresh and canned fruits like water melon, oranges, grapes, peaches etc. When we were ushered to our table upon entering, a waiter had place 2 jugs on every table (one was the cold water and the other, hot Chinese tea) and so we could help ourselves with the drinks. If you want to order others, you will need to pay for them.Service wise. Bad. First, the replenishment of food items was slow and at many times, we had to wait for quite a while for them. Second, our used plates and cutlery were not cleared at all, very different from other buffet restaurants we have visited worldwide. At some point of time, we even saw diners clearing their own used plates to the collection point. Interesting. In fact, we did not see any server in the entire restaurant (except the one who placed the 2 jugs of drinks on our table initially)As this meal was inclusive in our package fare, we did not know how much it cost. But a quick glance at the menu suggested that the normal buffet lunch (exclude live cooking and seafood) was around 10-12 Euro (but of course the tour agency would get a much lower rate due to bulk number of diners). And at this price, we thought it was quite reasonable to dine here, considering the spread was quite good though not all are quality items. And this restaurant was definitely not one of the better buffet restaurants we have patronised in our walk around the world, but neither was it the worst! If you just want to have a taste or experience several Chinese/Asian cuisines and yet on a budget (with not willing to spend too much) and do not really mind the quality or poor service, this place may serve your need. The restaurant was located next to the train station and surrounded by several commercial, retail and residential buildings and provided some ease of traveling for you to reach here or taking a stroll in the nearby gardens after your meals."
