"Honestly, very disappointing experience: ...octopus appetizer (frozen) at a cost of 12 euros! It was served to us on a dessert plate with no more than 12/13 small pieces of tentacles cut into small pieces and not particularly tasty. My colleague took a squid (even the frozen one) at a cost of 15 euros and I took a chicken cutlet...a side dish of courgettes with scapece scarves without salt and with very little vinegar...the friatielli good.....1 glass of house wine total 44 euros....!!! honestly a bit too much considering the fact that I am a regular customer.... perhaps the excess turnout that the place is having is producing excessive commercialization especially of the quality of the raw materials......I'm sorry but you are very disappointed!!!! They were plentiful... The problem is that they were too good. An intense journey, immersed in taste. The best first courses I have ever tasted. In the photo what remains. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Place not in the center but really typical. I ate some top squid and the best broccoli of the entire holiday. Super recommended. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Crocchette Di Patate View menu

Decent first course if it hadn't been for the terrible tasting oil, decidedly inedible parmigiana, too greasy and heavy, decent stuffed peppers, normal price but I don't think I'll go back Service: Dine in Price per person: €10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Excellent and plentiful food. We had to wait a bit to get in but it was worth it! During the wait, being with 4 children, we were offered drinks and they prepared croquettes for us! Friendly staff, the only flaw is the space but I would go back with my eyes closed! We had lunch yesterday and I must say, as a parmigiana lover, I ate the best parmigiana of my life. It will be difficult to find something like this in Rome. Pasta Fagioli and mussels worth 10 not to mention the starter. Friendly and efficient waiters. Really well-kept and characteristic location. I'll be back next week and I really recommend everyone to stop by for lunch. AVOID THIS PLACE. We were there tonight because of a youtube video from Mark Weins. The fried sea bass skin was wasted because all the scales were left on the fish despite it looking gr8. The rigatoni with ricotta was uncooked, stiff hard like cardboard (not the nice chewy type of experience u usually have with pasta in Italy) although the sauce was gr8. The seafood spaghetti had 3 smallish pieces of Octopus, 3 clams that didn't open, mostly tiny mussels was very oily so u see red oil pooling after the meal. The portion size was significantly smaller than what Mark had in his video too. V disappointed. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere:...

"Rustic and delicious food served with a smile in a buzzy local atmosphere. We discovered this spot at the back of the municipal market and we knew we were on to a winner. Despite my awful Italian, the lady of the house greeted us with a smile and told us the English were welcome. She pointed out to me that we should order from Enzo at the counter and then we sat down to one of the most memorable meals during our stay in Naples. There wasn't a menu, no waiters were fussing over us and no pretence was made. Locals came in calling hellos to their friends and to the staff behind the counter. We couldn't quite understand but they seemed to be asking for what they fancied or what was fresh. For our daughter a pasta baked in tomato sauce topped with a smoked cheese that was delicious. For us a baked fish and the braised octopus accompanied with a couple of vegetables. The food was banging and we washed it down with lashings of cold red wine from an unmarked bottle. This is a proper Italian cantina, serving fresh local produce covered in lashings of olive oil. It was a challenge even as experienced food tourists to understand what was going on but it was a brilliant experience. Thank you so much to the team here for the kind welcome and patience. A meal we remember with fondness for years to come. Kid-friendliness: Very friendly to our 5 year old daughter who loved the experience. They served her half portions and went out of their way to make her feel welcome."
