"with my wife, we were invited to this restaurant. we took the menu at 28 €. the dishes offered are classic and copied. They are well done. The meal is accompanied by salty mignardises at the beginning of meals and sweets at the end. the decoration is pleasant and mixes the classic and the modern (presence of coca cans cuts cola with the caesar for example what a little denotes in a restaurant of this level.) the service is very pleasant and the very attentive hotel master. a good address to make a good meal between lens and bethune."

"excellent quality lunch with refined and very accomplished dishes. We could see the work in the kitchen and can assure you that everything was done at home and in the instant (bravo for staff and chef in the kitchen) the peat was hearty and tasteful, the delicious maturation meat, the apricot associated with lavender a feast! with the coffee, the fresh guimauve with the violet is "to fall". As if this was not enough, the wines were of the same level (the map is presented in a very original way with wines classified by power: sweet wines, powerful wines .)conclusion: an address not to be missed if you pass around Noeux-les-Mines"

"As much as I enjoyed a dish of the day the first time and average the second, there's really nothing to say about the camembert, however, as a starter, I had a sardine in oil... The presentation was clean, but I was surprised when I saw a box arrive on the plate.... they were pretty good actually, until I turned the box over and I saw the origin of the box written on the back... 5€90 for a box, 2 pieces of toast and salad.... it's really limited.... in fact it's very difficult to digest them.... sick in the afternoon, maybe I couldn't stand them.... I didn't even get the 2nd beer I asked for and no one nearby to ask for a carafe... luckily, I was offered coffee ;"

"Le 109 is a pleasant surprise hidden in the cellars of the imposing Chateau du Motte du Fenelon in Cambrai, where we stayed for the night. The Chateau itself, having a somewhat chequered past, has been turned into a characterful hotel, and we enjoyed our...stopover. The restaurant itself is a delight to enter. Stylish, smart, professional staff, ambient but unobtrusive chilled jazz music. But watch your head in the doorways! We were at our ease quickly. Having had a disappointing meal in blighty the night before we were ready to be treated. We decided to go for the Gourmet menu, which at just 29€ for 3 courses seemed the way to go. Warm bread rolls to start and a bottle of a delightfully warming Bordeaux for me. Then a little plate of complimentary canapés arrived. Warm tartlet, crispy deep fried prawn, heavenly olive cheese mini-toast. At least, that’s my best take on what they were. But all boded well. My starter was asparagus with a super dressing on what seemed like a pearl barley soft biscuit. It was excellent. My wife’s prawn terrine was equally well received. The evening was passing nicely, as was the Bordeaux. My main was rump steak with potato fondant with braised spring onions, tomatoes, and more that I have forgotten. It was very pleasant indeed. My wife’s duck pie was ‘nice’ as well. All in all, happy folk. For dessert my chocolate fondant was lacking in chocolate punch, sending the strong rhubarb puree right out of balance. But I polished it off. Whilst the strawberry crumble was actually a bowl of strawberries with crumble on top. Is there a point in deconstruction? But tasted nice all the same. All in all we were happy and would eat here again any time we were near. Just a few things that could have made some aspects of the meal 10% better. But definitely one to go to if in the area (as is the Chateau stopover too"
