"We chose to eat here because they were offering 15% off on production of Coldplay tickets also it looked like a really nice place and had a good menu. It took a while for someone to come and take our order and that was the beginning of a catalogue of delays. Firstly the drinks. We did receive an apology, delay was down to a till issue, not sure why this would affect a drinks order but we had an apology so that was fine. Orders started to come from the kitchen and the servers had no idea who they were for they were asking each table what they had ordered. Finally after what was at least 45 mins after ordering my partner received his burger and I was asked what I had ordered and was told it was on it's way. This continued for another 20 mins at least. We finally had an apology from Marie from food and beverage who was just helping out she was not part of the restaurant, who said that she would not insult our intelligence by trying to give us an excuse it was just rubbish what was occurring. I was then told that my order showed a curry which I hadn't ordered at all but at that point I was so hungry I would have had anything. My partner finished his meal and I still had not received mine. Luckily we ordered onion rings which also took an age to get to us so I could at least tuck into them. The situation was the same for all the tables around us. Once I eventually got my burger over an hour after first ordering it was absolutely delicious which was the restaurants only saving grace. We did not receive an apology from anyone in the restaurant and when we received the bill the 15% was not deducted so another delay. I'm hoping this was just a one off because if they do not improve the service then they could loose custom which would be a shame as the food is excellent."

Ate here two nights running on business. Food good and staff couldn’t do more. An error made on a food order was quickly resolved and free drinks offered without prompting.

Ate at the restaurant every night of my stay at Novotel in Manchester. A good menu with a variety of dishes. The burgers were delicious and I tried a special one night called a seafood 'plank ' which I really enjoyed. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

I ordered a simple meal of omelette, salad, and fries. The omelette was tasty, the salad was fresh, but the fries were extremely hard and nearly broke my tooth! When I brought this up to the server, she just said she would inform the cook. However, there was no apology or explanation from the cook. I didn't see the server again, which I found quite rude. We visited with a Living Social voucher which was great value for money. The gin cocktail was served in a lovely glass teapot and there was a generous 3 cup servings each. The sandwiches were tasty but the stars were always going to be the desserts which were all delicious. The scones were possibly the best we've ever had! The service was great from the bar manager and server who were friendly and attentive. We finished our visit with a latte which took a while to arrive but was worth the wait. We would highly recommend to anyone else.

I was staying at novotel with my family for 2 nights for sightseeing around Manchester.We went out one night and for lunches, but on our second night we were very tired so decided to eat at the restaurant.The drinks selection was good, although they advertise on their walls 'cocktails ' and then don 't have a cocktail menu which is very misleading. I asked for a mojito but they had no mint, so opted for a cosmopolitan instead which was fine.
