"a wonderful (and affordable) surprise in the low village in zürich: perfect zanderfilet with sweets and on the point fried hohrückensteak with fresh bratkartoffeln and zucchetti, all tasted fine. the brot that was added was crispy and fine. we were thrilled. especially recommended: sitting outside and enjoying the homemade limonade or a regional schorle. honest, solid kitchen with best ingredients. enough service staff who are trying to do that for the guests. next time we go to the premier: the breakfast is apparently available all day and the guests at the next table looked delicious."

Very nice vegan restaurant in the middle of the old town. The food was all very tasty, but there was a long wait between our starter and main which was the only downside. Great restaurant for healthy food!

we decided to go spontaneously to the restaurant. it is a very family friendly restaurant! there are children's chairs and a children's menu one for the small guests. our Enzian-Burger - the hamburger meat is homemade and cordon blue (no finished product) goods very fine. also the staff is very friendly.

For this price the food is very average. I ordered lemon pasta with carrot “salmon”. I got few stripes of normal carrot on top, had nothing to do with salmon. I was expecting to pay for something that pretends to be a salmon. It’s also not a very cosy place, ambient and service is more like in canteen. It’s a cool idea and very good location but few things should be improved. View menu

eating is excellent. be it the poularde or the kalbsmüsli. all fresh and perfectly prepared. I would particularly like to mention the crème BRÖLÉE from the tonkabohne. I have never eaten such a thing from a crème brulee. The kitchen crew works at top level, the service is super friendly.Only the sounding could be turned off from me. For every hungry village visitor absolutely recommended. take away or restaurant.

the restaurant has not opened long and everything looks fresh and new. greeted by a young man who was very friendly and accommodating and so remained during my visit. I ordered the tartar and then the callbsmüsli from the season map. I think I've never had such a good tartar in my life. thanks to the kitchen for it. the main course was also very fine and the amboss beer served was rounded off by a very successful eating. Do I have to say that the espresso was also impeccable? I'm happy to come back!

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
