"After having had a succession of mediocre to poor meals from far Pavilion over the last 18 months, I felt compelled to write this review. Partly out of disappointment; as this used to be by far the best Indian restaurant in the whole area. However, since Covid, and particularly over the last two years, the quality of the food has dropped considerably, while the prices have continued to increase. (This is now one of the most expensive takeaway options in the area Around two years ago, for some reason (perhaps a change of chef? , they started to change the flavour of their dishes which have become steadily more bland and tasteless. To the point where a lot of dishes now just seem to taste the same. Unfortunately, the quantity and quality of the meat in the dishes has also really dropped. For example, where you used to get nice chunks of chicken breast we had a chicken balti the other night, which was literally tiny strips of chicken with sauce – and that was it! Another favourite dish used to be the lamb Rogan Josh. Where the lamb used be lovely and tender, of late it’s been tough, undercooked and fatty. Such a disappointment to write this review as this used to be such a good restaurant! We won’t be hurrying back now unfortunately, which is a real shame Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

My partner and I booked a table for their birthday, and we were pleased that we did so as the restaurant quickly filled up with other diners. We were warmly greeted at the door with big smiles and shown to our table. The food was delicious, served quickly and efficiently, and the staff were courteous throughout our meal. It was a delightful dining experience, and we are looking forward to coming back again in the future.

I stopped going here some 2 years ago, I stopped because of the quality of the food. I decided to give it another try and was so disappointed, the madras curry sauce was very oily and the chicken was as tough as old boots, I couldn't eat it and threw it away. The rice was good as was the nan bread. Shall NOT be going there again.
