"Terrible customer service dry, tasteless cakes. All cakes left out for people to breathe over and touch, didn’t feel covid safe at all. Worst part was the customer service, the lady making the coffees was incredibly rude. She isn’t even bringing coffees to the...tables, she just dumps them on the side and shouts the order like you’re in Costa or Starbucks, not what you expect when you’re paying a premium. Oh and if you’re sat outside and don’t hear her then that’s your problem, she won’t bring it out to you or shout the order again so you’ll be left with a cold coffee. The coffee was average and the cakes were dry and tasteless. Obviously bought in frozen and defrosted, not fresh at all. Floor and tables were filthy, we didn’t feel comfortable eating in there. Was handed a dirty fork to eat with too. There was also an engineer doing work in the food prep area without a mask or any PPE. And the food delivery guy was just walking through the tables and kitchen prep area with massive boxes and again no mask or PPE. Don’t get what the hype is about, the place is absolutely grim! Won’t be going back and won’t recommend to anyone."

Called in by chance for a coffee and something for breakfast. Has some great toast and sat outside, watching the world go by. Very clean and lots of high quality cakes and breads.

I love everything about GAIL's! Great coffee and mouthwatering bread and cakes! It's always crowded, even during this pandemic, so you better expect a queue. It's worth the wait, but go there with warm clothes and try not to catch a cold!

Poor service! Lady who worked there was very rude, no manners. Asked to have an extra chair outside as other guests did, and was rude about it. Asked for napkins and were just basically thrown at as with no manners. Poor poor service but lovely...food.

Service amazing. Ignore the 1 star negative reviews about food and service. I have been going there for years and coffee, bread and food is very good. Yes it’s a bit pricey but if you don’t like that go get your cheaper meal deal chicken...sandwich from a supernarket. The staff who work there are polite and friendly. Highly recommend!

I have volatilized a small hearty snack, but I didn't want to have a cold sausage roll etc. and asked if I could have heated it, but bluntly said that they didn't heat up. okay, so I decided to have a sweet braut that was very nice. I don't understand why they can't say that we're sorry that we don't heat up politely and offer me an alternative, not just look empty. coffee was very nice, but the choice of cup for a flat white without handle was very hot to hold, my sonny cup was much better for an americano.

waiting for drinks that took 8 minutes to make a black americano and chai latte. the chai latte was all syrup and no milk and good is not difficult to make hot water and espresso in a cup, all came in takeaway tassen if. china would have been better. the castor and toast was also nothing to write home. now, what would they expect when the children walk the place and don't care and try over the cater of the nights before. hhmmm not good experience. and they get hired by the personal to even order something from the load.

After collecting out hot drinks we walked back to the till to buy some water. We were then told by the brunette woman at the register that we had to get out immediately as she hadn’t waited to hear us order and simply directed us...out of the shop. I find this kind of unsolicited rudeness utterly unacceptable and as a result will never be giving Gail’s our money ever again. We will also be telling our family and friends (who regularly go there) not to. Not only was the service appalling but the chicken sandwich was awful and not worth the price.

"Yammin-Yummy says. ... 5 stars ... also a rarely awarded- 'beezybonus'. . . now, where do I begin to begin with such an amazingly appealing selection of freshly prepared foods that one would naturally expect that, already cooked, sitting, waiting for the next hungry expected customers. this can sometimes cook up to 10-20-50mins before they are placed in front of them. not here. freshly cooked. now this beautiful example of a traditional 'fish chip love affair, established over generations of Friday nights, was beautifully designed to tell their mouth, tonge taste panties, please attach their belts, and then it is about them an incredible arbor ride. ... one who seems to go up just as once they decided what's going in their mouth first (at least the crispy tail end) begins their incredible journey up; as their eyebrows increase during thinking, omg that 's sooo different good, light, crispy teig as I've never tasted in my 37 years since the beginning in the food industry. And then I made the mistake of dipping my squid in the homemade tartaric acid sauce. that is when the 1st massive fear happened, as I thought, oh my days; the better then mean, re-entry, deeper, actually cure my wrist action, to ensure maximum absorption of this sweet/creamy/tart/caper filled taste, as I reached for a chip to accompany, strengthen the excellent experience I thought stupid would be a 'standard thing'. Now I took care of you like this, but I have seen on my chips a few each mouthful was an experience, depending on how I stacked the fork, hahahaha. the fish was so fresh that I was looking on my teller sand. ... to dedicate a joy to each chip. ... the muddy heaps, normally warmed, not microshaft to a mass-hotter-then-the-sun, went a tasty bite, and quickly also, for once. the lemon shattered haddock had to be tied to the plate, because this teig was so light that it almost raised to the deck. but as soon as this handmade tasty tartaric acid sauce meets, any responsible 'handler-of-the-fork', wants to make sure that its only trajectory can be swallowed in their waiting swallow. It was so good, I couldn't stand to leave a single diesel and with this tartaric acid sauce, which even made a bulky chip, was nothing left, I was ashamed to ask the cook the recipe for 'this sauce', as he made such a light oil-free beautiful teig. the staff is very attentive, courteous, with a beautiful large sitting area also. get yourself here quickly bungalows to make an ordinary experience, in an excellent exciting eating expedition into a court that we all know so well, but so different. ... enjoy."

"Ever since they opened, I 've been for family gatherings, social events and dates and every time it has not disappointed. The staff are always welcoming and have a positive attitude. They are attentive, happily explaining the menu and how food should be ordered making recommendations. The menu itself doesn 't overwhelm with choice and is perfect for those with all tastes. There are plenty of veggie options and the wine is impeccably selected. The food is absolutely delicious and very well presented. The quality is evident. The portion sizes are perfect and not just stomach fillers (e.g. excess bread or rice). Every bite feels worth it. Please be aware that this restaurant is about sharing and each dish is made for it. There are no 'courses '. It 's about ordering the dishes you want and they will arrive when ready. With all the above in mind, this does mean that the prices are on the higher end and with alcohol you can expect to spend around £40 per person if you also include desserts (which are also incredible, especially the Creme brûlée). This might seem expensive, but remember, it 's about the experience, not just the food! Tabure is worth every penny in my humble opinion. If it 's just the two of you and you 'd like something different with a significant other, I 'd highly suggest requesting seats at the chefs table over looking the charcoal grill! It 's amazing watching the chefs work their magic and adds so much to the experience that most restaurants don 't provide."
