"Whenever I go to eat out somewhere new or somewhere I've never reviewed I now give an ununbiased review, i also never give 5* as that implies its perfect and everywhere has room for improvement. A very solid 4.5* and will definitely recommend and return. Its been a very long time since I've been here before and my wife and I decided to try here for an anniversary meal. Table was booked for 7pm but we went a little earlier so we could take advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktails which they do between 5pm and 7pm. The man started by doing us both a classic Mojito, which wasnt on the list but he was very accommodating. And very nice it was. We had a few more off the menu before sitting at our table we only had some garlic ciabatta for a starter but it was very nice. My wife had a sloppy Joe and I had a cheese and bacon burger. It all looked fresh and homemade. The chips with skins left on were fresh and not at all greasy. I think the coleslaw was also homemade and again very nice. I'm one for homemade so I was pleased. The burger was meaty and filling in a very nice brioche bun. The young girl serving always had a smile and wanted tp please in any way possible, she was a little nervous so i think she hadn't been doing the job very long. But she was a lot better than some I've encountered with years of experience. The toilets were immaculately clean and i liked the style, only one thing that was a slight annoyance was the wobbly tables. I would like to seen a couple more items on the desert list as i didn't fancy what was listed. We went to a different restaurant last week and Gambas is superior for customer service, cleanliness, price, portion size and general atmosphere. Even though we went quite early it was quiet and Gambas deserves a lot more custom."

Just home from a lovely evening with family at Gambas, the food and atmosphere was spot on, and the staff were very attentive throughout our meal. Definitely will be back to try their Sunday roast.

superb dinner today, the waiter cldnt do enough to keep my young happy to make cocktails to add bits to his burger. great eating great service. we left n my young said to eat his new favorite place.

Food great, service wasn’t the best and some bad attitude staff who didn’t want to help. Lauren was fantastic and worth her weight in gold. 10/10!!! Would only revisit if she was there! Thanks Lauren

what a beautiful place! we came to lunch today, eating was absolutely tasty and the staff was very friendly and helpful will definitely be back for cocktails and an evening meal in the near future. highly recommended!

it is not the typical pub, but a beautiful restaurant with a good atmosphere and good food quality fish and seafood, and beautifully presented dishes. the personal is friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for a family meeting, although the waiting time is a bit long.

Found this place on google maps and after looking at reviews/images we popped in as it was more appealing to us than other restaurants nearby. 100% would recommend, food was really nice and fresh plus the service was good. Next time we are over we will be popping back.

Me and my mum 2 kids came to gambas this evening. We had the roast which was amazing. All the meats were soft, the vegetables potatoes were cooked perfectly and the gravy tasted delicious, they were able to cater for my young daughter who has a dairy allergy. Great value for great tasting food. Portion size was perfect too. All the staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s not the first time we’ve ate from here and won’t be the last. Beats Toby Carvery any day.
