"Stumbled across this gem this morning. I have a hard time finding places to eat yet despite no planning ahead I could easily eat here. We went in for coffee and ended up staying for breakfast as it smelt so inviting. The atmosphere was wonderful and just right in all aspects, the service was friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was delicious and cooked in homemade infused oil and had a beautiful seasoning too. The combination was just right and lifted the flavours to the next level. Overall a rare treat within the service industry these days and thoroughly deserve commending. Can't wait to go back!"

Lovely owner from Spain. We went for my birthday, when we arrived he prepared some things off the menu adapting them to my intolerances, which was great. He also prepared some Spanish tapas for us to try. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

love this place! I'm here for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and I'm trying to eat Sunday morning. they always feel welcome and it is obviously fabian the cook is really passionate about eating, they can see it and taste it. javier the host is so sweet and friendly and our dog guinness is very popular with him as she gets a tasty bite when she goes after habis. I wish this place is a big success. View menu

Can’t believe it’s been 4 years since I last visited Habis in Littleport. I just had a beautiful Spanish breakfast of Chorizo, Eggs, and Potatoes. Javier and team did a wonderful birthday cook in my garden for me years ago and it goes down as the best birthday ever because of the food! The quality remains excellent and Javier is a fantastic and authentic Spanish chef; and a really nice guy too! Service: Dine in

Absolutely gorgeous place. Undoubtedly the best English breakfast ever (which here goes by the name Habis breakfast). The white toasted bread with sausages, mushrooms and eggs cooked to absolute perfection were amazing but what's different from Habis breakfast is the Spanish red chorizo... incredible!. Since it's a family business run by the family, the quality is assured, thus my big thanks to Javier for a terrific time. Service: Dine in

Breakfast at Habis is fast becoming a weekend ritual (as well as weekday coffees! Such a lovely family run place, with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Always lovely tranquil music playing. Both food and coffee delicious. They do oat milk lattes, and offer decaf coffee, which is a bonus. Definitely recommend visiting if you're in the Ely area. Vegetarian options: There are enough vegetarian options on the breakfast menu for my liking, and they have always been flexible with adding/substituting items to customise dishes. View menu

I went to habis this morning for the rock painting. I was immediately greeted with a smile. the room was great, the caffe warm and the people friendly. the vegetarian cooked breakfast was so beautiful. it was healthy and filled without stealing like an English fried breakfast. the eggs were the best I ever had! I was elated to find out that they put soy milk on so that I could have a cup of tea without having to take my own milk! the attention to the customers and the friendly atmosphere make it a great place to visit.

Always absolutely fantastic! My wife and I have been visiting Javier and the team since Day 1 and it's been a real pleasure to see Habis flourish! The tapas at Habis is the most flavoursome we've ever eaten and the breakfast menu always takes our vote for a Sunday morning! Always a pleasant environment in a rustic setting with inkeeping music. The service is efficient, professional and friendly, and there's always a warm welcome and an appreciative goodbye! We look forward to enjoying many more mornings and evenings! Sensational.

"We were here for a family reunion on Fathers Day. I was going to give 3 stars but having had no response to 2 feedback emails that I sent I have downgraded it. This is the honest feedback that I sent: I’d like to thank you for your help in putting our family meet together. We were pleased with the comfort and ambience of the area where we were sat. We also felt the staff were pleasant and courteous. The meals and the drinks received a mixed feedback. We felt that the vegetables and sauces were very good although a group of 4 were given a small dish of green vegetables to share. Some time later a request for more green vegetables was dealt with but the timing was not good. The fish and chips were commonly well received. I’m afraid that the other aspects of food and drink and most importantly ORGANISATION were poor. When we arrived a waiter came over to take orders of the people that had not placed an advanced order. 2 people at one end of the table asked about the ordered drinks and had to say what they ordered and their order was delivered. I was a little concerned that 2 coffees ordered for the sweets of Peter and Jenny were bought with those 2 drinks but they seemed OK with taking them then and despite all the complaints in this email I don’t want to find fault. At my end of the table the waiter told me that he would come to me with my order but he must have forgotten. Starters were brought for those few that ordered them and a waitress eventually came through to enquire if everyone was OK. I said me and my wife were still waiting for our drinks order. After another 10 minutes someone cam back with the 2 decaf flat whites that we ordered for the end of the meal. Unfortunately the waiter, who was clearly distressed to be told to take them back and bring the correct drinks order, wished to engage with me in a disagreement about where the fault for this lay in front of all my family. This did upset me. Eventually my ale and my wife’s wine was delivered to us – it had taken over 90 minutes to arrive and both the ale was tainted and the red wine not pleasant. In addition the 2 pre ordered drinks were brought for a second time! The poor organisation also meant the meals did not arrive in good time. After nearly 2 hours most people had not had a bite to eat. The meat was very poor. The beef was inedible (very tough) and the poor standards of both meats was fed back to a waitress. By the time that sweets arrived staff was particularly flustered. The sweets came so late that 3 of the people that had ordered ice creams had to leave to catch their train. Again our drinks were forgotten so I asked for the 2 decaf flat whites. These were eventually brought but they were luke warm. My wife felt embarrassed for the staff so she drunk hers anyway as she did not want another accusatory conversation in front of our group. I had to ask for mine to be replaced as I felt that it was unpleasant. That concludes my feedback although I should say that there were other deficiencies. You have been warned!"
