"Worst restaurant I've ever been to, sadly. A friend cautioned us before we went today, saying he had waited 40 minutes recently for a glass of water. We thought that might have been a one off and went today. It took well over an hour to get served (after booking in advance and paying a £20 booking fee). Mid August the place was FREEZING. They had the door open and it created a wind tunnel effect inside. The person. waiting our table would only take drinks order and this was after us being seated for 20 minutes, which suggests the kitchen could not cope with cooking for the amount of people they had in the restsurant. After waiting well over an hour for food, it came cold. Everyone in our party thought nearly every dish was overly salty (and greasy). The chips were nice but the philly cheesesteak pizza and fish (fake) were horrible, as was the macaroni cheese. Yuk! The salad was slimy. We were so starving by the time the food came that we would have eaten an old sock, but this was the worst vegan food we have had. We were celebrating a birthday and had presents on the table. This was not even commented upon. Other places make a token gesture. The seats were not comfy. The toilets were a trek through a disused downstairs part of the restaurant. Just the most awful dining experience we have ever had. AVOID."

I'm so glad we tried this place! The entire menu is vegan, offering a wide range of comforting and innovative dishes. It's a great value for money and absolutely delicious. The staff is super friendly as well. I highly recommend it!

I absolutely loved this place! The vibe and decor are fantastic, and the food was incredible. The staff was wonderful, too. I ordered the vegan mac and cheese, along with fries and garlic bread, and everything was delicious. I also tried the hoisin-loaded fries, which were amazing! View menu

so great to eat. all vegan. had the haggis quesadilla from the main selection. even if I'm not vegan, another had to order to make sure that it was this delicious. that was it. great cozy place with a light labyrinth to get to the plough, but after 2 pints it is actually adventurous. highly recommended!

I've come to this fully vegan place for lunch and took their strawberry feta salad as well as the Buffalo cauliflower. the salad was nice with fresh spinach, onion and strawberries although it needed some more dressing as for the cauliflower, unfortunately it was a bit 2 spicy and I wasn't a fan of the sauce that was quite strong. the restaurant is quite big with lots of tables to sit and the service was fast and kind.

Absolutely amazing vegan food! The menu was diverse, and everything we tried was incredible. I had a substantial artichoke appetizer (see photo), and for my main course, I enjoyed a generous serving of Haggis (I realized too late that I forgot to take a photo of it). The staff were very friendly, and they even welcomed dogs, providing a bowl of water for our furry friend! When I planned to come to Edinburgh this was one of the places I wanted to visit! The staff where super helpful and attentive and the food was unreal too! I got the truffle shuffle cheese bacon burger and upgraded the chips for truffle fries as you may be able to tell I like truffle) The hand cut chips were so nice and the burger was oozing with flavour too. I still had room afterwards so opted for a deep fried pineapple fritter with ice cream which left me in a food coma! Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for some tasty grub and it was 100% vegan too!

I am not a vegan but I love vegan food if it is well prepared. Here the kitchen is nice, the staff is nice but I felt there is a big problem. When I went through the menu I noticed they are mimicking non vegan food. I tried dishes like this and they were always just following the original one from behind. It is not different here. I honestly don 't understand why vegan kitchen needs to follow the mainstream . There are so great dishes with veggies what are individually good. With anything else I was satisfied with. Make the food original and this will be a perfect place. With dishes like this only vegans who miss their meaty dishes will enjoy the food and for a sustainable future non vegans...
