This restaurant is run by a husband, wife and their son who are absolutely charming. The room is delightfully decorated and has a lovely atmosphere. The menu is limited but is some the best food I have every tasted.

the food was excellent, wein couples were great, and the service was so friendly and helpful. we really enjoyed our dinner, especially the appetizers (oktober and sardines) and the squid risotto of inkfish. Thank you!

Très belle découverte, beaux et bons plats italiens avec des ingrédients de qualité, même le pain est excellent ! Mention spéciale pour le boeuf Asado mariné pendant 24h, puis cuisson basse température pendant 24h et finalement grillé au charbon de bois. We received a recommendation from a friend to make a dinner booking at Hostaria da Franz when visiting Venice. We were not disappointed. We have been in Italy for 2 weeks and this was the most memorable meal by far. The freshest ingredients presented in beautiful and unique ways. My husband is still talking about the seafood risotto. We hope to visit again for another special meal next time we are in Venice.

Nous avons eu la chance de diner dans ce restaurant pour le réveillon de la Saint Sylvestre. Tout était parfait : de l’accueil, au service en passant évidemment par les assiettes. À cette occasion, le chef avait laissé libre court à son imagination pour revisiter des spécialités locales, pour notre plus grand bonheur ! Enfin, nous avons apprécié les efforts pour nous présenter les plats en français. Bref, un moment exquis pour quitter 2023 et rentrer de la plus belle des façons dans 2024.

Finally a restaurant that answers everything I look for when I go out to dinner. reception, professionalism, environment, cleaning, raw materials of level and cellar. the elegant and educated owner patiently explains the menu that offers fish dishes. excellent cellar, not huge but essential but not trivial. the room is very beautiful and elegant and all the evening flows ovate with discreet staff but extremely careful without breath on the neck. from aperitif to dessert all perfect, really good, my ideal restaurant, typical cuisine without bold and impeccable service. Maurizio is the perfect maitre, and also owner, of this beautiful restaurant that took over from his dad. He is welcoming his guests with a smile, exquisite kindness and fluently in french and english and obviously his Italian is pretty good too : The ambience is traditional but not heavy, the mise en place is simple but sophisticated. Everything is thought in the details. Nothing is left to chance, Maurizio is taking care of everyone with attention, you will feel spoilt.
