"Restaurant/tractor a couple of km away from the historic center of Maratea (contrada santa Caterina). Definitely rustic room with friendly and friendly staff; very slow service despite only a few tables were busy. Availability of outdoor seating. Menù not particularly rich in courses. We ate 2 appetizers and 4 first: appetizers (driving of sausages-forming and caciocavallo) seemed nothing exceptional while the first abundant but too oily were more appreciated. Prices tend to be high (first to 14/15 euros except a few rare exceptions) considered the type of local that is more a trattoria. He doesn't deserve more than three stars."

The pizza was okay. The wine was not good at all. We were there early so nobody else in the restaurant. A good view on the christo statue

Nice characteristic place with a wonderful view of the redeemer. Great welcome by the friendly owners and good dishes...I would recommend to add to the menu a homemade appetizer of tastes...

to try! we stayed twice at the little ranch once to try the restaurant's kitchen and the other to try the pizza. both times we were very satisfied, good quality products at adequate prices. the service improved but compensated by the kindness and friendliness of the staff! View menu

Il Piccolo Ranch is located opposite the holiday home we were staying at (casa vista mare), so very convenient for dinner. The first evening we took a bit more time for dinner, service was good, as well as the food. Desserts ok, not really special. Second time we were lucky to be seated on the terrace on a very busy evening and enjoyed delicious pizzas.

Good desserts. prices in the standard. the place is located right near the planetmaratea not far from the road leading to the statue of the redeemer. very recommended!

family-run restaurant. fantastic location, considering the presence of the giant. . the marathea planet, but the small ranch was built before. story aside: excellent quality of raw materials. all cooked in a lucan way. kind and competent staff. I have seen it more like a failure in the family chain than in a management incompetence. Mom counts, and Dad's in the box. I miss these dynamics. prices aligned with the presence of the giant. I'll definitely come back.

"Scialuppa 25 is located at Porto di Maratea in the quiet, somewhat sleepy, harbour. We had lunch at Scialuppa 25 twice during our stay in Maratea. Both lunches were very good-excellent with great welcoming service by Andreas. We just turned up without reservations and were given outside tables in an almost empty restaurant from which we could watch the comings and goings on the harbour front inasmuch as there were any. On each occasion, we ordered the house white, which was good enough for our very good seafood fare. On the first occasion, I ordered the fresh antipasto di mare, which was really too much so, on our second visit, I ordered the smaller, nicely flavoured insalata di mare, which my wife had ordered first time and was just right. For secondi, I had a beautifully grilled, fresh, large swordfish steak, which my wife had on our second visit. Both steaks were wonderful. On our second visit, I had the over-cooked polpetti in beautiful tomato sauce with a side order of vedure grilliate. How do they get their tomatoes so red? The polpo was tender and the sauce nicely flavoured. I would recommend both dishes. We finished with locally-made ice cream, which Andreas acquired from a nearby restaurant, a nice limoncello, and cafe. I guess the same folks own both restaurants. All together, both lunches were splendid occasions helped by the relaxed location and the friendly, efficient, staff. When we return to Maratea, Scialuppa 25 and Ristorante 1999 will be top of our lunch venue lists."
