"After a long day exploring the Drenthe (Netherlands) countryside, we crossed the border for a typical German dinner. We were not disappointed.Some might called this place kind of old-fashioned, but I liked it.The service was efficient as well as friendly and quick.The menu offers a number of recurring dishes plus seasonal specialties (our autumn choice was a variety of dishes all based on pumpkin). However, we went for 2 of the standard choices. My wife had fried gold bass in a breadcrumb crust, while I settled for a rump steak. The nice thing with the rump steak is that you can choose each and every side dish separately. Unfortunately I could not get the fresh chanterelle mushrooms that I wanted, but at least the canned variety was available, and it was lovely. Combined with fried onions and almond potato croquettes, it was a great main dish.Fortunately, the restaurant offers plenty of choice as to beers (some nice local ones), and not just German wines which is good.I especially appreciate that the owner of the restaurant, although old and having difficulty walking with 2 crutches, made his rounds to all tables to personally greet everyone, and have a little chat with the regulars. That shows commitment and dedication.Well worth a visit!"

"Ho provato questo ristorante a Meppen insieme a colleghi di lavoro. Locale suggerito da una brochure.Il ristorante si trova al primo posto tra quelli da provare in città. Sicuramente ne è valsa la pena. Vito (il proprietario), ci ha fatto sentire a casa davanti ai piatti della tradizione Italiana. Eccellente anche la carne.Squisito il piatto di "tonnarelli alla carbonara di mare". La carne di prima qualità, Ottimo l'antipasto accompagnato dalla “pizza” bianca!!Qualità del cibo altissima e prezzi molto buoni. "We reserved for a birthday dinner. The previous arrangement was very valuable and friendly. The table was very nicely covered and decorated.We enjoyed a wonderful evening with an absolutely friendly and attentive service. "Waren am Samstag Abend dort Essen haben einen Tisch draussen bekommen. Begrüssung sehr herzlich . Meine Frau hat das Lachsfilet mit Pfeffersoße bestellt ich mir eine Pizza zusammengestellt was gar kein Problem darstellte. Beides war ausgezeichnet es gab nichts zu bemängeln. Die Pfeffersoße hatte ich probiert und fand sie genial Die 2.Beste die ich bisher gegessen habe und ich esse oft Pfeffersoße. Alles in allem ein perfekter Abend Essen Bedienung Chef Chefin alles Top. Wenn der Chef dieses liest darf er sich gerne nochmal melden wegen des Rezeptes der Pfeffersoße lg Mirco"
