"This restaurant is the favourite restaurant of my boyfriend and I. They serve delicious pizzas and meat (they have a huge choice of different dishes, see photos). We return there at least twice a year, it has become a tradition for us. The service was good; the first time we arrived to the restaurant without any reservation, and they were still very amiable and found us a good table in a calm corner of the restaurant. Since the fournace for the pizzas was not yet heated (we arrived just after the opening, the restaurant is closed between 2pm and 5:30pm from Thursday to Sunday), they proposed us an "assiette valaisanne" (a Swiss plate with different cheeses and dry meat, the canton of Valais is quite known for this and this restaurant serves excellent assiette valaisanne, recommended!). This deed was very much appreciated since we were hungry and wanted something good to eat right away. For main meal we took pizzas, and for dessert ice cream (see photos). Both were excellent! The second time we took "steak sur ardoise" and a normal beef steak, which were both extremely tender and tasty, and served with delicious vegetables and french fries. That is to say, everything is absolutely tasty and delicious in this restaurant. The only thing that you should keep in mind when reserving a table here is that the restaurant is also a rotisserie, so there will be some smoke in the air (and most probably your clothes will smell smoke a little after eating here, but the smell leaves in one wash). All in all, I would heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to spend a good moment eating excellent food in a nice Swiss atmosphere! :)"

Went to this lovely place with friends after Easter Mass in Saint Maurice. The food was great and abundant, the price totally acceptable.

We had a pizza that was delicious, a lot better than certain Italian restaurants... Then we had 5 different types of meat cooked on a hot stone: all of them were really tasty and tender! Thank you, we had a great dinner;

We've visited this restaurant in last april, the food was delicious, the waiter and the owner were very friendly. When we complimented the interior of this restaurant building, the owner even offered to show us another interior side of this building which is very very classic with a medieval theme. We'll definetely be back here if we visit St.Maurice again.

Went here for a family birthday having read good reviews on TA. However, most dated from 2013 not 2018. My mistake. Average pizza, service timely but mediocre welcome-wise. Pizza's generous size-wise, base burnt and lardons certainly not bacon-more like some strange cut of pork ... We all left some pizza, not worth finishing. Shame but does not merit its 4 stars. Portugueuse spin on Italian cuisine.

I have been a regular customer of La Forge for some time...mainly for Sunday lunch, after floating in the local hot spa for a few hours... This place is exceptional. Well, it is not a three star Michelin place it is the kind of place where ordinary people go to enjoy good food and good company. And La Forge scores exceptionally well on both of these. First the ambiance....it is an old forge or blacksmith's place...the furnace where the blacksmith used to melt the metal has been transformed into a pizza oven.
