"My friends and I went to la lanchetta for an aperitif after the lockdown. We managed to sit on their terrace, we ordered some pinsas and drinks and enjoyed our time. Drinks were okay, although pinsas are nothing to be excited about and I would...have gladly skipped them. What really bothered me was the non-existent social distance, staff bumping into each other's, not wearing gloves or masks to protect customers from droplets of saliva, and tables way too close in my opinion. A customer even complained when paying at the till, since there were at least people in a few square meters. It goes without saying that this was my first aperitif post-coronavirus, but from now on I will gladly spend my time home seeing how things haven't changed despite what we have been through."

Great place. Great view, directly at the lake. Good fresh prepared food. Friendly service. We went twice!

La Lanchetta has the best lake view in Lugano, the service is excellent and the Pinsa which is one of their main dishes is really authentic, a great place for Sunday lunch.

I live in Lugano since longtime, I can't explain why a cup of coffe in this restaurant cost CHF, it's not justifiable, it's not a star hotel and not the best place in the city with lake view. It's a tourist trap!.

We booked a dinner for a group of people and in a nutshell: very nicely served very flexible; we asked for a birthday cake and they could contact a bakery to get one excellent food: we mainly had pinsas' pizzas),...spaghetti and risotto. No negative feedback heard from the group. Highly recommend. View menu

Everbody talks about this place so I checked it out with my family. We asked to be seated outside, but we couldn’t. Ok. Then a table got free, I asked if we could go and they refused. It is because I am with kids? No...idea. The waiter gives us the menu and drink menu, kids excited to eat, but after waiting to order, they tell us we cannot eat yet because kitchen is closed. Ok but then why give us menu? We took a drink, which came with nice appetizers, but will not come back, although the view is nice.

A real nice evening, first of all the Campari Spritz is a Must to try, simply delicious, and served with nuts and Olives. Then when you eat, to make you wait, you get more nuts and olives and Some raw vegetable. You get also bread...mix with olive oil, Balsamico vinegar and salt and pepper. The Food quality Was really, the seafood risotto was excellent as well as Spaghetti with clams. The service was also very Professional, very thoughtful and nice. The ambiance was really nice too because beautiful view of the lake and really nice jazzy lounge music. Really recommended

Positives: Vibrant atmosphere, younger professionals and older crowd Very pleasant interiors, superb location, right by the water with a stunning view of the gulf of Lugano Very friendly staff, very welcoming Just right speed of service The place is renowned for its pinsa similar to...an elongated pizza and a slightly different dough. The pinsa is in fact excellent Menu not very ample but sufficient to satisfy customers not interested in having pinsa: simple and excellent dishes Negatives: Not a place for a very formal business dinner Limited offering of wines by the glass, lots by the bottle At times difficult to get a last minute reservation View menu

It goes w/o saying that this restaurant has a stellar placement on the lake. The service waiters are also kind. However that’s where the positives stop. The food is at best average to below average. Price wise its Lugano Swiss prices ..the problem is the quality. Worse than things gone wrong at home. The pizzas were both undercooked and the salads and poke bowls were a disaster (esp the poke bowl). As for vegan options I wouldnt know where to look. Vegetarian- yes you can remove fish from dishes and one salad is veg. I have been here twice for food now and I def wont be ordering food again. For a coffee aperol this place could possibly be visited.

We went for dinner at this restaurant, which was meters from our hotel. Lovely place, big veranda overseeing the lake, really nice. Menu is ok, some special things but o.k. intially we had to wait far too long for our drinks, clearly overwhelmed staff....The burger was rare, the vongole had some shells but now taste, really a pitty. Desert was already better and because the rough start we had our coffee and Contreau on the house. Well done to the owner, not the typical reaction that we were tourist and would never return. So we went back for lunch two days later and the food was great, days special, paste with truffel and parmasan fondu, really good, service even better, and a welcome back b...

"Me and my husband chose this restaurant to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We came all the way from USA and I can tell you this place didn't disappoint us. Very nice location, close to the lake and easy to find. We started our 5 course chef's tasting menu from appetizers by chef. It was mix of cheeses in different variations deep fried, cream cheese, cheese truffle and refreshing gazpacho soup. 1.Our first tasting dish were amberjack ceviche with fresh mint, peach and lemon sauce. It was absolutely delightful. 2.Then we had poached egg in creamy pea puree and shaved with Belèer Knolle cheese. It was also one of my favorite dishes because it was so creamy and egg was a great addition to this dish. Also there were Bona crumbles sweet to balance the pea puree. 3. Next Paccheridi Gragnano halves with oriental veal ragout. unfortunately this pasta wasn't my favorite. It was too al dente and I am not used to such a thick uncooked pasta. We ask waiter and he confirmed that's the way it should be. Also too much peanuts overwhelmed the sauce and it felt you are eating sneakers. But I absolutely loved veal ragout sauce, it was rich with flavors and very nicely done. 4.Then our next dish was Red Mediterranean tuna with charcoal, teriyaki mayonnaise, cucumber and puffed rice with seaweed. It was the best cooked tuna that I ever tried. It was so tender and melting on my tongue. 5. Next was perfectly cooked Duck with cherries. I absolutely loved duck, it was cooked to perfection!!! 6. Pre dessert strawberry basil puree to refresh tasting buds and prepare for the dessert. 7. Vanilla cheesecake with apricot and carrot sorbet with prune compote. 8. And complementary truffle selection from Chef to congratulate us with our anniversary. Absolutely best anniversary meal. I also loved that service here was very open and nice. It was my first Michelin star experience and I didn't felt any snobbism, like in other restaurants in Milan for example. Nice presentation, and all dishes were properly described in English for us which is additional plus since my husband doesn't speak Italian. Absolutely worth the trip!"
