"This restaurant was recommended to me by a work colleague, and as I was in town on business, I decided to pop in, I was warmly greeted by, as it turned out, the owner, Sacha, who welcomed me in, I had the place to myself for the duration of my meal, I was served by the very courteous Milosz, and the super sweet Maddie who, between them, took very good care of me, the meal was delicious and customises to my taste as I am not keen on spicy food, Sacha came out to personally check on how I would like the meal prepared and was very accommodating, as the evening progressed, Sacha was regularly out of his kitchen to chat to me, and during one of these conversations, it transpired that he like myself are both Army Veterans, but he of the Spanish Army, so we swapped some stories, so all in all, a great evening was had. Just a couple of items of some constructive criticism, the music was a little loud, but was turned down at my request, and as I was sat next to the kitchen, I could hear everything that was being said, and may I politely request that items be placed in the sink and not chucked in, those large stainless sinks, when empty, create a lot of noise, sorry to end on a negative, you may not be aware that could be an issue, many thanks for a great evening, and if I am ever back in town, I will make it my mission to revisit this restaurant."

Had an exceptional meal here recently. Now easily one of my favourite local restaurants. Can’t wait to go back! Friendly bar and wait staff too.

Had a lovely birthday meal. The food was amazing and the ambiance was great. I had the mussels followed by risotto. Service was impeccable. Loved it. Pity I don't live nearer. I could go every week.

On September 23rd, we enjoyed a meal with our daughter and son-in-law at this restaurant. We decided to try the 'special' dish that the chef recommended, and both my husband and I agreed that it was the best meal we have ever had in Melton. The owner and the staff were all very attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Service: Dine in. View menu

my wife and I were here on our honeymoon and we had a fantastic time! eating was amazing and we can not wait to visit again, all the workers were beautiful and accommodating, my wife is gluten-free (cealic) and they ensured that everything was on her place and there was a great choice of what she could have. many thanks for all especially sacha (the chef) and milosz that was our waiter. Thanks again, we cannot wait to come back!

A distinctly average place. The anglo-italian food was reasonable but not what I had anticipated having dined in many Italian restaurants in the past. To compensate, the staff are super friendly and on that alone I'll probably give it another try. On the night I visited, what I initially ordered wasn't available due to the lack of ingredients. My partner was satisfied with her meal but the main course sauce was strange. Meal type: Dinner

about this beautiful place went and decided to try as a visit of the opposite for the business. happy to say one of the best random places I stopped at. I could not blame that the food and the eyes were bigger than belly, so that the generous portions could not be ended. service was excellent and checked everything was in order, but not in how the dinner was interrupted. they would recommend and will see when in the opposite. the owner has me for a chat and really pleasant man to talk. it has been a couple of times to eat in la perla and have always enjoyed my experience. the atmosphere and the environment is so friendly and welcoming, and I can honestly say I never had a bad meal there! (I insisted on coming here to my birthday dinner last week with friends, as I wanted them to experience it, and was treated with the best cooked steak I ever had in this country! the staff is incredibly helpful, and after the said steak, asked to pass my compliments to the chef who came out personally to thank me for the compliment and wish me a good birthday. this type of personal service is the reason why I will visit in the future again and again la perla.

Simply perfect. My husband and I went for a meal for our wedding anniversary last night, the experience was great from start to finish. We were welcomed into the restaurant and asked if we wanted drinks at the bar or to go to our table. We'd sat in the sunshine for drinks beforehand so went to our table. The lady serving us was very attentive and friendly. We chose a bottle of the Italian House Red wine which was very nice. We both had mussels in white wine sauce to start. The mussels were cooked beautifully and the sauce complimented them so well, soaking it up with some fresh bread was delicious! We both had steaks for main course, mine with dolce latte and wrapped in parma ham and my husb...

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
