"This is a neat, well run little bookshop at the seafront end of town. It is often quiet, and you can spend a good while browsing the books, cards and gifts. The staff are helpful, and will often ask if you're ok, but do give you the space to look around at your leisure. They often have sales on books, and you can pick up a bargain. If you read daily Bible notes, they will happily order these in for you, so you never miss any, and don't have to worry about them running out of stock. There is parking on the road outside, but you can only stay there for 1/2 an hour."

Popped in on the off chance for a Sunday roast, we were not disappointed. It was really tasty, hot and freshly home cooked. The staff were very welcoming and also had live music playing , we had a great time and will definitely be returning.

Good pub food and drink at reasonable prices, overlooking Oulton Broad. Parking at back of pub. Kitchen open limited hours weekdays. Luckily we went at the weekend. Staff very helpful. They also do small meals for adults which suited us. Recommended.

Had a brilliant time here, staff are so wonderful and kind. Children friendly food and staff while the staff keeps drawings and crayons to keep kids busy, they also had a nice and affordable vending machine for some sweets for the kids. Food was great too. Would definitely come here again with my family and recommend to friends. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic experience, the lady at the bar was named Harmony which suited her name as she made us feel at home immediately. I would give her 10 out of 10 for her customer service. Our meal we ordered was with us in no time and tasted delicious too, such good prices as well a full menu for anyone to enjoy. There were food deals on offer to which included a free drink, We would recommend the lady of the lake to everyone.

I went to this pub on 19th April with my parents our two dogs, we had lunch, we all had something different to eat and all meals were excellent. The lady who took our order for food drinks was called Harmony, what a delightful young lady, she obviously loved her job and it really showed, she was polite, helpful just an all round lovely young lady. We found it spotlessly clean and excellent value for money, when we are in the area again we would definitely return.

"Having been a regular customer for over a decade to The Bell Inn, I was left very underwhelmed this time. Room was lovely and clean as usual, Tom on reception was fab. We chose to dine in the restaurant as normal and booked for 730pm so we had a nice long evening to enjoy eating and drinking. The menu is now very limited compared to previous years, we chose to have 4 starters to share and some rose wine with bread to start. Slight delay on bread, which came crammed on a small plate, which we had to ask for side plates after waiting for the waitress to reappear…the oil and balsamic was awful, there was so much oil chucked in the ramekin we had to ask for another, to pour some off to try and get to the vinegar. Food came out, and was put on table, again had to ask for side plates as we were sharing and still had bread on the other ones. No drinks check. Had to wait at bar to order more. Food was mediocre at best, we both have very good appetites especially after the harbour walk and some wine! but both ended up just picking at it. Ended up going to room with our wine very early, the only other table in the restaurant that was occupied had some sort of problem ordering due to “fryers being turned off” and got sandwiches and chips instead! Slept well as usual. Went for a quick dog walk before breakfast and narrowly avoided being hit by the chef arriving at 845am in the car park. Arrived on time for breakfast at 9am, lovely, lovely waitress served us, ordered full English and pot of tea, partner the same with coffee. Took a sip of the tea and it was barely lukewarm… spoke to waitress who was very apologetic and bought me a fresh one, turns out the rest of the room all had the same problem with tea and coffee as the urn hadn’t been turned on in time see chef comment food came out and was delicious and hot, and top quality as usual, we cleared our plates! Room was spotlessly clean, and the Tyneham hand wash/cream is so good! Overall disappointing as I know how good this place can be, and the first time I’ve ever encountered any problems. As stated before it was not busy in the slightest compared to previous years, so no excuse really. I will return as The Bell holds dear memories for me, I hope next year it will have ironed out these problems and be back to full glory!"
