"What I had: octopus, pork steak, riz au lait, a rather ho-hum white wineWhat my mother had: clams, sea bass, riz au laitI made sure to make a reservation months in advance so that my mother can try Paris bistronomie. In 2014, I had two holidays in Paris: one in August for my birthday and the other in December, I failed in that the restaurant was closed for their own holidays. I made sure that in 2017 I would get to taste Stephan Jego's cooking. We were not disappointed, all the dishes were phenomenal, from my imaginings I thought the food would be bursting with umami but I found the dishes relatively light and yet comforting. All the ingredients, especially the meat and seafood tasted as they should with little flavours adding accents to the dishes, it reminded me of Filipino homecooking in the 90s.Our favourites were the clams (generous serving with fragrant sauce), pork steak (moist, pink, seasoned perfectly), and the riz au lait (give me more). Wines were pricey and I got stuck with a single bottle that I didn't enjoy very much. Lesson learned, next time I would go for the tasting menu with wine pairing."

Meal was AMAZING; everything was perfect!! Chef greeted us upon leaving and beyond gracious -- he's more of an artist. Perplexed that star rating isn't higher.

for gourmets and gourmets! Quickly try the white card menu that is a great surprise because the chef shapes it according to his wishes. Don't forget to order the best milk rice in the world.I'm going back there without hesitation!

It is a little rough and ready. Small and busy but serious aboutthe food as they show and tell it. Take a lead and let them dowhat they do as It is a great experience. I will go back and willeat as they choose. Lots of small highlights are evident if youwant to see them. Just go but do book a table. Visit the nearby Rue Cler market and book at L'Ami Jean. Paris. What an experience! On the recommendation of a friend, we went to discover L 'Ami Jean. In the middle of winter, the crowded room is filled with good mood, delicious smells of cuisine, and animation. The menu offers dishes that are all of an extreme quality, we feel that the products have been selected with attention upstream (Terrine house, Duck poitrine, farmer pig quota, etc.). Chef Stéphane and his team lead this establishment with a master's hand. Bravo bravo bravo. In short, I recommend and come back with immense pleasure.

My husband and I went here for lunch. We were seated near the kitchen where you can see the chef prepare your food. Presentation is perfect and the food is delicious. I had a wonderful pork chop. Juicy and well seasoned. I started with a wonderful tomato salad with the freshest tasting tomatoes. My husband did the fixed lunch where the chef "takes care of you". He ended up with a wonderful 4 course meal. His main course of veal was so tender and tasty. This was a totally delightful experience from the beginning of the meal until the end. View menu

We had a great prix fix lunch here for 38 euros. A lot more than we usually spend but it was definitely worth it. Wonderfully presented and prepared food and a lot of it. Friends had told us to pre order the rice pudding which we thought we did along with a couple sitting next to us. The waiter kept saying, oh yes we have the best. Unfortunately he forgot to tell us it was not included with the prix fix. But we did get 2 desserts apiece at the end of the meal! The sweetbreads were wonderful. Have not had any in awhile so I really appreciated them. We got a nice white wine for about 35 euros. Our one ordering mistake though was asking for two glasses of red to finish our meal. They were 15 eu...

a nice surprise because this restaurant is not the most visible at first glance. The food is very good. each food keeps its original taste and blends very well with other foods. A real delight! Unfortunately, the service does not correspond to this restaurant that still remains bistronomic. The kitchen is open and the chef controls the kitchen like the room which puts in place a kind of show throughout the service. menu business (35€):- amuse mouth - standard soup; very good - entrance - imposing asperges - flat - typical pig cocotte; tender and tasteful- dessert - laid ice cream, homemade fresh cream, curable, kiwi, mangueun menu very good at an affordable price. Small negative point on the...
