"A tourist Place If you are looking for a small unpretentious place in the heart of a pretty village, you have come to the right place! If you are looking for fine cuisine, good service and authenticity, this is not the place for you. I had dinner there last week and have mixed feelings about the place. The food was pretty ordinary though I had a chicken burger that sounded interesting on paper but did not translate into a pleasant experience. My companion had the Italian Pasta which was also pretty ordinary. Prices are moderate. As mentioned before, the restaurant is very small, just a few tables, some across the narrow street from the restaurant. It is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Fayence. The owners seem to be the sole operators: she serves and he cooks. He also talks... A lot. Both are working hard to give the place the appearance of an authentic rustic-but-genuine small restaurant; it seems too much like an act to me. It seems like they are trying very hard to cater to the tourist crowd, the type that will go back home and talk to their friends about the little restaurant they discovered that is so French..."

Toujours un accueil stylé avec beaucoup de personnalité. Un vrai plaisir de revenir comme l'an passé. Les produits frais sont mis en valeur par cette cuisine délicate.

We came to the family guided by the only feeling. the card is short enough but only contains home dishes with very successful equilibres. lunch was very friendly. Our child was in the angels. We strongly recommend this restaurant.

Kleines, familiäres, ganz außergewöhnliches Lieblingsrestaurant in Fayence. Wenige, wechselnde Gerichte, französisch liebevoll vom charmanten Chef zubereitet und ebenso von seiner Frau serviert. Wir kommen seit Jahren immer gerne wieder und genießen … View menu

What a great find Le 8 was, thanks Yelp! My wife and I were at the Fayence market today and consulted Yelp for somewhere for lunch. Le 8 caught my eye and we were certainly not disappointed. A small but very interesting menu with great flavors and just the right sized servings. Madame ran front of house while Monsieur did the cooking and they could not have been more friendly and charming. We are already looking forward to our next trip to Fayence just for lunch!

Not really a restaurant in the French sense, they call themselves an Epicerie/Table d'Hote. But, whatever you call this business, it is worth a visit. There is a simple carte each day posted outside, usually 4 or 5 choices. The food is nicely prepared and lunches cost 11-16€. I had a lovely cabillaud with delicious lumpy (the good kind of lumps) mashed potatoes. My wife had a truffled pasta. Both were delicious, though the truffles might have benefitted a little from some cream. Bottom line, very friendly pleasant folks, tasty food and good prices. If you are in Fayence and don't want standard heavy lunch fare, this is a place to try. Also, just a short walk from the Antique show.
