"If you want an authentic experience of the typical Auvergnat cuisine in the hinterland of Auvergne, this place is for you! Hard to find (GPS recommended), but worth the search. Despite its out-of-the-way location, be sure to reserve; when we went there was not a...free table the entire time we were there, so far has its fame spread. And with good reason. I ordered the potee auvergnate, the local equivalent of corn-beef-and cabbage for the Irish. It consisted of healthy amounts of potato, cabbage, carrots and smoked pork( all in a tasty broth. It was far more than I could eat; there was probably enough to share with my wife. The sign says we do not offer doggy bags but when no one was looking we brought home enough for another meal. The ambiance is superb as well; you are in a sort of chalet as if in someone's home. Despite the plentitude of the meal, we could not help ordering dessert, and were not sorry. The trip there over the col Robert and Mont-Dore etc was almost as good as the meal that awaited us. It is not far from Sancy where you can take a cable car to the top of the mountaiin, but we gave up on that plan when we saw the cable car disappear into the mist shortly after leaving the departure point. But we did go to the summit at col Robert with its desolate wuthering-heights like atmosphere. In this area, the alndscape seems to change every few hundred yards or so, so a very varied trip."

"Brasserie with a nice frame. Ice cream is crafted and is at a good price. There is a choice for ice and desserts. I went there when there was a theme party. Beautiful setting with lake view and playground for children. The most: the view of the lake, the possibility of eating very good pizza, the homemade dishes for some. Ice and their choice. I advise him for his welcome, the dishes and the staff."

"Plat très copieux. Nous avons dégusté les tagliatelles au saumon avec un bon verre de vin Art de vivre . Service très aimable, rapide et peut-être même un peu trop car nous n 'avons pas eu le temps de profiter de notre apéritif que l 'assiette de tagliatelles était devant nous ! Les assiettes n 'étaient pas chauffées et le plat s 'est vite refroidi c 'est dommage. Une pizzeria très sympa. Nous avons déjà eu l 'occasion d 'y déguster des pizzas très savoureuses il y a trois mois. Beaucoup de clients, gage d 'une renommée méritée. Une grande terrasse couverte est disponible, et la vue sur le lac y est très appréciable. Très agréable moment. Clientèle variée. "The night I ate in L'Arbalete, it was the only restaurant opened in Murol and so it was pretty busy. But I arrived early and was housed on a beautiful outdoor table. The place looked simple and welcoming. Service was very friendly. I had a truffade that was pretty tasty, but should have been put on a table heater to keep it cold. Nevertheless, with a beautiful beer it was a pleasantly simple dinner."
