"We were in Calais for the day and dropped in to Cite Europe. We walked round the the large selection of restaurants just before 12 noon. Some would not serve us because they did not open until 12 but a charming waitress invited us in to Le Comptoir du Malt and settled us down with a drink and a English menu. Not surprising the wine was much cheaper than in England at about £3 for two medium glasses but the beer was more expensive being about £3.50 for half a pint.We both choose pizzas as there was a stone pizza oven and I opted for the "house special" which was a mixture of ham and cheese with a fried egg on the top. It was very well cooked and came out nice and hot. The base was thin and there was plenty of ham and cheese toppings something lacking in some restaurants. We did not eat anything else and the bill come up quickly and two pizzas and two drinks came to about £25. I would recommend this restaurant if you was in Cite Europe and wanted a quick, good and economical meal."

Had dinner on a very quiet sunday. My beer was great and my burger superb. Unfortunately my partners choice of Flamkuche was disappointing. Not up to the Alsace version!

The chicken was over cooked and very tough. The food was tasteless and the waitress didn't really care that we didn't like our food. Avoid at any cost. Over priced food that tastes disgusting.

This was always a family favourite because of the kids menus and diy pizzas. Food is still good and at a fair price for a shopping centre caff. If you're shopped my and want a snack break, it's great.

I went over to France for the day with my family aswell as going into Belgium. We stopped at Cité Europe to do shopping and ended up stoping at Le Comptoir du Malt, the food was a amazing aswell as the service. Could not fault...the waitress not to mention all the different beers and drinks they served. Overall it was very nice and definitely go again soon.

We often go to a restaurant close by, but as this visit was for two nights decided to try this establishment as well. It was very acceptable, two of us had the formulae menu and it was good value and tasty. The omelette and burger...purchased by our party was of a very good standard. As we were staying close by we were not worried by time. However the waitress was pleasant and efficient.

Ate here before getting the Eurotunnel home. Waited an eternity to be served. Ordered Pepsi, none on tap. I had a burger which to be fair was very good, but my partners meal was terrible. Beef was hard and inedible. My stepdaughter ordered a wrap...which arrived after the rest of us had finished our meals. Meals came with unlimited veg or chips but daren't ask for more as service was slow. Would not recommend.
