"Low season should not be a reason for not serving decent food. There was no vegetarian salad! on the menu, in fact no vegetarian dish at all. I asked if the bacon could be replaced by a vegetable. ‘No vegetables’ In came a plate with some...ruccola, a scarce amount of baby tomatoes, top two pieces of toasten were cut into triangles, and on each one a tiny piece of chèvre. Four pieces of potatoes. They obviously found a spinach to replace the bacon. I was hungry, so I ate everything. The stale-tasting toast the great amount you buy at the supermarket that has hardly been roasted. There was no subtlety, heart or soul in this salad. I don't know if it was because I didn't order dessert, drinks or coffee. But the waiter asked me to come to the bar to pay for the bill of 14 euros. Yes, a tourist trap!"

We visited on a busy Saturday night and they managed to squeeze us in without hesitation. The staff were extremely friendly and helped us with our school days French with good humour. Food was excellent and the dessert menu is endless ! Would wholly recommend...a visit.

My husband ordered his steak well done, but the waitress said he couldn't have the steak well done. I asked if it could be cut horizontally and she again said no! What has happened to the customer is always right?? Since when does a waitress...dictate how my husband should have his steak cooked? In hindsight, we should have walked out.

Good food. One of a few restaurants available prior to a ferry crossing. Although mainly galettes there are a wide variety. I had one with cheese, potatoes and a beefburgers. Very filling. Good smoked salmon for starters. Others in our group had the fish soup which was OK but lacked a good taste. Another had moules which came in a wide variety Good service and we weren't chased out as we dallied over our meal. Cider service in a 50cl jug and half bottles of wine View menu

This was our second visit. We found the place by chance the first time while staying in Ouistreham before an early morning ferry. On this occasion, we chose it to have a meal before getting on the overnight ferry. As a result, there are plenty...of Brits eating there but the place still manages to attract plenty of locals and retain a French ambience. The menu is great lots of snack type options, crepes and salads and excellent value. On this visit we paid just over euros for four and service was friendly and efficient. Whilst much of the business is ferry passengers, I'd definitely recommend a meal here if you are visiting Ouistreham for pleasure, or while passing through.

We had an idea for Moules Frites once again before going home from a holiday in France and Spain and this restaurant delivered great time with a great selection I had the Normandy style with a creamy apple sauce and mom had the classic Moules marinière, hubby had chicken also in a creamy apple sauce. All dishes were delicious. The other specialties of the restaurant are Galette/Krepes and we shared a salted caramel cream for dessert again delicious. The greeting from the couple that ran the bar and the restaurant was warm and friendly and the service speed was just right, we felt neither rushed nor left to wait. All in all a wonderful stop before the ferry to home the next morning definitely...
