"We drove all along the coast from Courseulles, looking for a place to eat before boarding the late ferry from Ouistreham. We ended up in Lion around 6.30 and waited in a bar/tabac around the corner (v good and cheap glass of white) for this restaurant to open as it seemed the best option. We were, embarrassingly, in as soon as the doors opened and sat outside on a lovely evening. We both ordered simple moules mariniere which were delicious. Service was good, particularly as the place soon filled up and they seemed short-staffed. Despite this fact they were friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for your last meal on French soil before the journey home ALTHOUGH we both suffered from a dodgy tummy the next morning...not much fun when you have a 5 hour journey home! I really don't know if it was the moules or just a coincidence..."

The food, especially the crepes tasted wonderful. The owners were really friendly. Remember to book a table in advance. It is popular!

We had a family meal here and I couldn't fault it. All good, good service, clean and friendly. This restaurant is in a good location in the centre of the village

We visited on a busy Saturday night and they managed to squeeze us in without hesitation. The staff were extremely friendly and helped us with our school days French with good humour. Food was excellent and the dessert menu is endless ! Would wholly recommend...a visit.

Just next to the hotel we stayed in so very handy from that point of view. Very reasonable priced - for the two of us, including a bottle of wine and a beer the cost was £54.46. The food was excellent, but as in most French restaurants, be patient with regard to the service it will happen.

Typical of the hungry wanderers, imagining the perceived typical village cafe, unfortunately now seeming like a long ago memory, and getting to the stage of lets go in here.Nice greeting and shown to a table by the waitress, orders given drinks enjoyed and food served. Spot on really. Galettes were fresh and substantial, prices reasonable, and staff and owner welcoming, all very pleasant for passing travellers on route to where ever.

We had an idea for Moules Frites once again before going home from a holiday in France and Spain and this restaurant delivered great time with a great selection I had the Normandy style with a creamy apple sauce and mom had the classic Moules marinière, hubby had chicken also in a creamy apple sauce. All dishes were delicious. The other specialties of the restaurant are Galette/Krepes and we shared a salted caramel cream for dessert again delicious. The greeting from the couple that ran the bar and the restaurant was warm and friendly and the service speed was just right, we felt neither rushed nor left to wait. All in all a wonderful stop before the ferry to home the next morning definitely...

Low season should not be a reason for not serving decent food. There was no vegetarian salad! on the menu, in fact no vegetarian dish at all. I asked if the bacon could be replaced by a vegetable. ‘No vegetables’ In came a plate with some...ruccola, a scarce amount of baby tomatoes, top two pieces of toasten were cut into triangles, and on each one a tiny piece of chèvre. Four pieces of potatoes. They obviously found a spinach to replace the bacon. I was hungry, so I ate everything. The stale-tasting toast the great amount you buy at the supermarket that has hardly been roasted. There was no subtlety, heart or soul in this salad. I don't know if it was because I didn't order dessert, drinks...
