"This was a backup to our backup. Many of our first choices for restaurants were closed for holiday or were booked fully for the evening. After strolling about and not finding anything that looked interesting, we threw in the towel and went here. We just wanted some food in our bellies before going to sleep. The location is very good and the menu is pretty varied. We were seated quickly since it was not at all crowded. The service was average at best, perfunctory and not friendly. Our wine was delicious (but, hey, it is Paris!). I ordered the steak and frites and my wife ordered the chefs salad. My steak was surprisingly tasty and well prepared. It was thin but it was very reasonably priced so I wasn't disappointed. And the fries were fresh and delicious and they were served piping hot, as was the steak. My wife's salad was very good. We topped off our meal by sharing a creme brûlée. It was also good, though not exceptional. In sum, this wouldn't be my first choice for dinner but it is a perfectly good choice for lunch or for dinner in a pinch."
