"Visited on a suggestion by close family in order to meet up for lunch. Whilst food quality was excellent, choices for a brunch were very limited, and quite expensive for what you got on a plate. Three rounds of sandwiches, of which there was only 3 options, were basically just that simple sandwiches with scrummy fillings. The next step up was a burger fries. And between 11 12, no hot food, according to the menu. Hmmm! The building has no depth of atmosphere, a bit like a large tent on a huge metal frame, but the view across the sea is wonderful. They have tried to make it comfortable quite successfully, but it didn 't give me a 'buzz ' from the clients or activity. Maybe because we were all over 60 that day! It will be, and is, packed in summer, being right on the water. Overall, a great place to go eat, just don 't expect a lot on your plate for your money or an exciting atmosphere during the week. Weemay be different. I will return."

Breakfast now not available, unless you think that bacon in a roll is breakfast. Cafe gone downhill since re-opening in May. Now appears to be concentrating on take away style food BUT was very good before and during pandemic, why the change?

This restaurant is lovely, with plenty of room between tables. The food is fantastic, and children can eat for just £1 with the purchase of an adult meal. The staff are very attentive, and the restrooms are well-maintained and stocked. Overall, I give it a 5-star rating for food, service, and atmosphere. The price per person is typically between £10 and £20 for lunch.

Walking down to the restaurant, we smelt that horrible used cooking fat smell, where the fat should have been changed ages ago. Service was not really friendly. Food was ok, we had a roast. Very noisy and loads of dogs, ok nothing wrong with being dog friendly, but when you just want to have a nice family meal, and dogs barking at each other and hair flying around, it’s not good. Service: Dine in

I initially thought that the Sunday dinner was a bit expensive, but it turned out to be absolutely delicious. The dessert was priced at 9 pounds, but it was definitely worth it. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The only slight issue we had was that the roast potatoes were a bit too crispy for our taste. I ordered the roast pork, while my husband had the beef. I highly recommend trying the cheesecake with sorbet. They also offer a coffee and cake deal for 6 pounds during the day. Overall, I would rate the food a 5 out of 5.

This little cafe on the waterfront is punching well above its weight! I arrived on a Sunday morning with a party of when there was less than people in the cafe, it still took them minutes to serve us??Further to this they then sent out all meals at different times? How hard can it be to prepare breakfast items (they are a pancake house) at the same time and then serve at the same time?? To add insult to injury we ordered different pancake items out of meals and both the pancakes were overcooked, dry and burnt? A joke for a cafe marketing itself as a specialist pancake house'.Steer clear of this little cafe people, it is overpriced and poor quality. I live in Lee on the Solent and know of at...
