"The cafe was quite grubby, the tables weren’t being cleaned at all promptly. There was hardly any food left and what there was was rubbish. The BLT tart was a few sad shredded lettuce leaves with tiny bits of fatty bacon scattered through it and about half a tomato chopped up in a supposedly edible tart case. It was £3.50 and worth about 20p! The paninis had been half-heartedly warmed up and the cheese was barely melting. The tunnocks snowball looked like it had been sat on it was so squashed. All in all it was extremely disappointing especially as the castle itself and the garden were so good. The cafe ought to have been much better."

Stopped here after the coral beach and before heading to the lighthouse. The bread with the soup was really stale but the meat pie was delicious.

Excellent food particularly the Victoria Sponge. Their range of vegetarian and vegan foods is much improved as well! Staff are friendly and welcoming :

Decent choice of vegan (not only) cakes. Flapjack one and coconut tart was really worth the price. Tasty coffee, baked potatoes looked really well however went out really quickly.

dipped to lunch before they visit the castle. jacket kartoffel with salmon salad was one of the best I ever had. a true triumph. Unfortunately, the suppe of the day was bad and therefore 5 stars were not completely reached on this occasion. special mention for the young steven segal who took my food order. Why waste when you suck like that.
