"the maharaja palace is not only on the wide street since yesterday, but can be well described as an old-essed gonsenheimer restaurant. in the last ten years there would have been some occasions to visit the local one, but somehow it never happened, although it was always very tempting after curry roch. But we went in and found that we should have done before. In any case, this is one of the better ones that have been put to us so far. the typical Indian flair with wall pictures, brass boxes and colourful tellers lacks just as little as the rather large papadam that exists in front of the house. also the card leaves hardly a wish open. Although some courts are only connected with a retiring in it, it was not a problem to get garlic naan instead. that made his name only partly honored: well, it was without doubt, but something more garlic should have been. before or there were vegetarian pakora, freshly spicy Okra vegetables (bhindi bhaji) and a very attractive panir pasanda. another ground for joy: gulab jamun on the dessert card, whose four balls were right for two people. the service was also similarly well dosed: if you wanted something, you could usually look shortly afterwards; In between, in the angular gas room, one had almost the feeling of being alone. the number of guests is probably the only one that could be more luxuriant at the maharaja palace – at least from the owner's point of view."

nice Indian restaurant, furniture no longer quite new but quite beautiful. there is a very nice courtyard to sit outside. the food is delicious, inexpensive in order ( main dishes on average about 15 €) and the Indian service friendly.

very well seasoned eating and also very appetizing prepared and served. pleasant atmosphere with typical Indian restaurant flair . was also well visited on a weekday what my guess is about to speak locally . was there before eternal times and has not broken down as many others.

I was in almost all Indian restaurants in mainz. as a delicious and someone who also cooks well, I can say that eating in the maharaja palace is better than in other Indian restaurants in mainz, the price is a bit higher, but it is a good snack for eating. Do not forget to taste their mango sails good appetit! View menu

I find it hard to be too hard to this restaurant as I can see that they try. only not really successful. eating is authentic, but of mediocre standard. the environment is beautiful with the seating outdoors, but overall the place is somewhat ashamed. the service lacks ease and motivation. it's not that it was bad, but eating out here missed the fun. I don't think I'll come back.

We went there for a lunch on my wife`s birthday. We had fried assorted veggies and fish pakoras (fritters) as starters. The starters were above average. We did not find them to be excellent. For main course, we had Alu (potato/kartoffel) Paratha, garlic Naan bread and chicken curry with Ghee Rice. The alu paratha and the naan were excellent in taste. The chicken curry was also superb.

View menu

The place is so detailed and homely that we already have div. Friends got pampered here. It is always tasty to brush the tables in front of pots and crucibles, self-made roti and other breads, all currys are a dream, above all the reference to the degree of sharpness is also questioned personally again and that is good because European tongues wear medium sharply less well. We strongly recommend booking even if the open air area will be opened soon. In the backyard or in the covered terrace it sits just as beautiful as inside. Very friendly family business.

This place is within walking distance of our house, and we haven't found any Indian food better in our area. The staff is polite and speaks English (especially the younger waiters). The menu is in German and English, no issues there. The wine is good (Blanc de Blanc is what I always order), and the food is awesome. My father in law who has traveled India says the food parallels in quality and taste. Definitely order the lamb and the veggie samosas delicious. They bring Nann with your meal and dipping sauces with a cracker thing to start. Everything is good and the prices are reasonable.

"we thought it was time that four years ago opened patagonia in the mainzer neustadt to test. the bus and tram connection is excellent, the parking situation is very difficult. there is an outside area at the restaurant, and the dining room is large and clear. because the guests were distributed outside and inside, the reservation about opentable would not have been necessary. so we were allowed to choose a table and were welcomed by the two ladies in the service friendly. we found a rectangle with a view of a large flatscreen, on which a diashow of pictures ran from patagonia, which first triggered television. steaks are offered in all variations, and the selection is quite difficult. we first took three empanadas with different fillings that relatiw quickly came out of the kitchen and taste very good.My wife decided in the main course for a rumpsteak of the even medium rare with grill potatoes and salad. I had previously researched the card in the internet and asked myself what a flap steak was. wikipedia helped and so I knew it was a cut that is very common in patagonia and comes very close to the us sirloin strip. I wanted to try this and ordered it **** in the bloom. I took a foil potato. both supplements were handed with the obligatory sourcream with coriander. the two supplemental salads were fresh, colourful and crisp, with the carrots also liked as a supplement. Even with critical consideration, the performance was in all respects of expectations: the services were extremely friendly and stood also in the meat selection with rat and did the side. the we chose to be perfectly met. confusingly I found the hints in the menu on the recommended per steak. these were all together and especially between medium and well done. that was not comprehensible for me because of the top quality of meat, all in all a very successful evening with a quite reasonable price-performance ratio. we like to come back to patagonia."
