"Maredo is one of the typical steakhouse chains you can find throughout Germany. If you're looking for something decent at a reasonable price, you'll discover this is a safe place to go. The food is decent, but not really special. This chain is throwing the...definitions for the amount of cooking your meat has gone through in a somewhat different scale. When you're looking for a medium rare' steak, here you would have to order it Englisch'. The other definitions have been bumped up or down from there. This however appears to be the common scale in German meat preparation and at least they write the definitions in their menu, albeit in German.. If you're looking for a bargain, visit their website a few days in advance to visiting the restaurant: register to the newsletter and await your Euro discount voucher (print the mail after which it is safe to unsubscribe from the newsletter if you don't approve on any further updates from Maredo. A definite plus is that the restaurant allows you to have your (dog) with you inside (just don't take it anywhere near the (salad) buffet but on the other hand, there is no free WiFi. There used to be no WiFi at all but recently they got Tmobile WiFi coverage which is a paid service, except for the German Telekom customers who can use it for free, apparently.. All in all, it's a good place to take a break from shopping or browsing around the Christmas markets, generally there are a few tables available even on the busiest of times so no wait, so it's pretty decent, not excellent but: a safe choice."

This time the flanksteak was tested by the menu. I was very happy with the meat quality and the preparation. still many guests were present, the service was very good.

Nice place, located in the center of Dortmund, simple decoration, nice and gentle personnel. Good stakes, a lit bit expensive and a salad bar where everyone will be satisfied. Good choice but not the best in Dortmund

I came here to have lunch withna friend and we both had the lunch menu special (rumpsteak) with potato wedges and mixed salad from the extensive salad buffet. The restaurant was clean and the service attentive and swift. The steaks were both grilled to perfection....We had no space for dessert :

on the occasion of my stay in theremund I visited the maredo. very friendly reception. the selection at the salatbuffet was enormous. the steak was perfectly prepared for the desired type. the sauce to the potato was excellent in the consistency too thick but tasteful. we were 5 adults and a 2 year old child. have chosen the restaurant because they advertise to be child-friendly. unfortunately we actually waited for our food for over 2 hours. the table next to us has changed the guests. when we got our food, the next table (for the second time) was finished. but we could not enjoy that with the absolutely overstretched child. "They are not the only guests". . for a special occasion and a bill of 160€ extremely annoying. (there was nothing to eat)

on the search for a great restaurant in theremund we have actually only become aware of the maredo". a sitting area outside for four there was direct, for a Friday night badly visited. Unfortunately, the seats outside are totally uncomfortable, we have been able to cover ourselves in order to be comfortable sitting outside. the service was nice and fixed. eating was rather bad for the price of performance ratio. my fajita with bark was unfortunately very dry. for such a dish was also a small dish, which is all but perfect, as you have to put your wrap yourself together, and I also find the kind of direction not beautiful. the flesh of the others was on the point and good. the served suppleme...
