"Merci is located at the entrance to the Lago Center. Some of the offering on the menu consists of wraps, pasta, beef, fish, salads, burgers, beer, wine and desserts. The atmosphere is nice with floor to ceiling windows with a view out to the sidewalk tables and the masses coming and going to the Lago Center. The place seems to have a nice, relaxed designed environment. Plastic flowers decorate most of the tables and counter and the seating is plastic chairs and/or synthetic covered seats or benches. I opted for the burger with fries (9.90€ and a beverage. A ketchup bottle is brought out to the table. The burger was ok with lettuce, tomato, sauce and what seemed to be garlic powder mixed in the burger patty. The fries were just terrible. If this is the best you can offer for fries then simply take them off the menu! They were shoestring fries, brought out in a bowl and I could immediately tell they were greasy. A cup full of greasy, broken pieces of shoestring fries, what a disaster! While dining, I saw (through the kitchen a small deep fryer and two cans of food on the counter. In my opinion, I could only assume that the food in these cans were simply being poured out of the can and cooked or warmed up by the kitchen ‘chefs’. It certainly was not home cooked food. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The sidewalk seating is nice on a warm day, but don’t expect much from the food. I would not visit again."

An absolutely excellent place. Clean, stylish, good food, friendly staff, central location. I had onions with cheese and it was delicious. I also had tea and wine a few times with friends, always had a pleasant time here.

If you are staying in one of the hotels nearby, which are heavily charged for breakfast inclusion, just go to this nearby restaurant in a shopping mall for a nice cheap breakfast with fleeting service. Many decisions you simply click on a map.

Wir sind immer gerne ins Merci gegangen, aber nun ist für uns die Schmerzgrenze definitiv erreicht, zumal die Portionen auch nicht unbedingt größer geworden sind. Eher im Gegenteil! Am Samstag morgen so gegen 10 Uhr waren wir im Merci frühstücken. Der Gastraum war bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt und wir mussten ein wenig warten bis ein Tisch frei wurde. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Platz direkt am Fenster. Die Idee mit dem Ankreuzen finden wir super. Man kann selbst bestimmen was und wieviel man möchte. Jeder Gast bekommt ein Blatt worauf man sich selbst sein Frühstück zusammen stellen kann. Für uns war das Frühstück ok, aber für den Preis sollte die Qualität der einzelnen Produkte hochwertiger sein. Wir fanden alles insgesamt von günstiger Qualität. The last time we visited this place we were served a salad which was improperly washed or let’s say unwashed. There was a small spider actually inside. We complained and got a second fresh salad which we could not believe was again dirty and had a small bug inside. We told the waitress to just remove the salad of the table and she offered a glass of wine on the House in return. After a while we got again a fresh salad from the House as apology.
