"I recently visited this restaurant with my daughter for a special treat, but unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and the prices of the food were exorbitant. They seemed disinterested in providing good service, especially once they realized we were not going to spend a lot of money. The drinks took forever to arrive, and when I went to the bar to inquire, there was no apology. The waitress was condescending and passive aggressive, making the atmosphere uncomfortable. I don't understand the positive reviews this place has received, as both of my visits left me feeling upset. The food was subpar, and overall, it was a horrible experience that I regret repeating. My daughter was also upset by the treatment we received. It seems like others have had similar unpleasant experiences with the unfriendly atmosphere. Avoid this place if you're looking for a pleasant dining experience."

Starters were good, mains had potential but mixed grill was sadly over over cooked if they could get the grills to be juicy this could be a wonderful restaurant

Food, drink and prices are great. And so is the service. Would love to be able to get there more often. It brings back memories of holidays in Turkey. Thank you!!

So sad.I was really disappointed. The food was less than average. It would have been better if they focused on a reduced menu of great quality. I won't be returning.

Absolutely beautiful food, large portions and a huge choice. Prices are very reasonable and that's why I keep going back. Really can't understand the negative reviews. View menu

Ordered the lamb knuckle with mashed potatoes and green beans. If I had to choose my last supper this would be it. Phenomenal staff service excellent. Food par excellence. Atmospheres a vibe. Very happy.

Do not order the Pinot Rose at this restaurant. We paid £22 for a bottle at the bar, only to be served a supermarket brand Rose at the table that was worth £7.75. This was a total rip off and the food was not impressive either. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

First time here friendly staff and atmosphere. Very clean decor (and loos)! Always a good start. Food was tasty recommend the garlic mushrooms starter, mixed shish kebabs and chicken risotto for mains. Too full for deserts £50, starters and mains and a drink each for two of us. Good value. The restaurant was able to accommodate our group of 15 last minute after our original reservation fell through. The atmosphere was fantastic, the service was excellent, and they were extremely accommodating. They were able to provide helpful advice to a member of our party with food allergies. The prices were very fair and the food was delicious. Everyone left satisfied.

I went here today for Sunday dinner with my mum, dad and sister. It was such a lovely meal. The customer service was excellent and each dish was served hot. There was a good relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. We sat on the terrace. It was warm, clean and spacious. Despite the terrible road works in Chorlton it was worth finding a parking spot and walking to this restaurant. I highly recommend it!!!!

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
