"After reading the reviews I expected something really sensational, but actually I was fairly disappointed. The food was really just ok. Wine was good and the staff were friendly. But first back to the food... everything was far too salty!!!! The moussaka had the most salt! The dish itself was good. It had the right mix of I gradients, had the right consistency... but was so salty that one couldn't enjoy it. Second was the Greek salad... also way, way too salty! Then last were the spanakokeftethes and the grilled octopus... not as bad as the moussaka and the salad, but still way too salty. And speaking of the grilled octopus... it was rather mushy. The head waiter explained to us that it is supposed to be that way, and perhaps he is right, but my experience in other (very good) Greek restaurants is that it should be al dente. I mean it should not be rubbery, but nice to bite into :-) ok, so in summary, nice people, tasty wine... but the food was not quite right. Drive to Essen and try Eleon in Rüttenscheider Str.... there you can eat really fantastic meze."
