"the san marco is better than it looks from outside! The restaurant is a little rudimentary furnishings. the dishes are very classic and simple. meat, suppe, salat, voilà!.The service is sometimes overwhelmed, but is really laborious and friendly. also the friendly chef shows himself in between.Essens quality is ok for the price, as mentioned, classic easy. a scavenger or a cordon bleu can be eaten well, there are certainly better in the city then also a lot more expensive.Come over and over again."

Best pizza I've eaten in a long time. There were 8 of us and the food was simply great! The owner was so nice, great service. I'll definitely come back.

Boring dining place devoid of interest where the staff are sure and the cheese on the pizzas tastes cheap. Great wood fired pizza oven with cheap ingredients and dull service.

we were two on a month day. there are two day menus with supper ahead, for 16 or 18 francs, which is very inexpensive for the location and for the city zürich. you can also sit outside with nice weather, but with road traffic, which can be disturbing depending on the conversation. you could have been sitting inside. the device is simply held and from outside the restaurant comes very inconspicuous. on a weekday at 13.40h visits locally. it was almost empty at that time. table searched, timeds fetched and then waited for the service. that lasted endlessly, as the chefin kept her serveuse just loudly on the bar. a gast was not exactly desired. after all, the order was still successful and the sausage salad came. not very tasty, but the most gruesome starving was thus to quench. not the first time that the service notices unpleasant.

we were once again after a long time for lunch at the san marco. the central location at the railway station has enlivened us. if it was recommended to reserve earlier, this does not seem necessary today. the local was very badly visited. we were quickly served and eating was quite o.K. the prices of the menus offered are today deeper than before (bark bird with supplement or spaghetti aglio e olio for chf 19.) somehow the san marco does not correspond to the current spirit of time anymore.

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
