we wanted to try the Retters castle restaurant but they were booked out work congresses weddings for the coming 2 months. we then found this little gem nearby. Wonderful indoor outdoor restaurant nestled in the woods. it’s traditional German cuisine at a very good standard, far higher than you would expect from a Landgasthof. the service was impeccable and friendly WiFi orders to kitchen for fast execution. can highly recommend, we loved the Hirschgulasch (deer stew) with candied apple, Preiselbeeren Spätzle.
