Rosewood - Menu

The Walnut Tree is under new management and has introduced a new Caribbean menu alongside the usual pub grub. I had the jerk chicken burger with creole rice and my husband had the goat curry. Both were full of flavour and I would highly recommend.

visited here how many times passed and the sign on the a303 have seen. very beautiful place, but from a tardis in the inner. we both had the jerking and crawling, very tasty, only not much huh, as it was a bit, could eat two. will definitely be back.

I heard mixed reviews about this place. I came last year and it was not bad but nothing to bark about. This visit was exceptional. I decided to visit the pub after reading some very convincing reviews on Trip Advisor and I’m very glad I did. I went with a friend and we both had a brilliant time. The service was superb and the food really couldn’t have been better....I had the burger and she had the pie of the day. Portions were generous and the price was very respectable. Definitely worth a visit!

we were six homosexual from london, but really canada, Switzerland, Germany, antigua, dubai and england in west camel for a covid “statementation”. we went into the pub and eating was amazing, the service great, and the greeting fantastic. the authentic Caribbean food. a real tasty and something we had not expected to come in a small somerset city. to say that we were pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. we have already recommended the place to our friends to come the next week to somerset!

We were recommended this restaurant by someone we met earlier in the day as it was her local. We didn't read reviews and just went along. I can't understand why this place wasn't packed. The Chef cooked us a beautiful meal the starter was superb,...main course absolutely delicious and we just had to have sweet. The young chap in the kitchen is definitely talented and his food a joy to eat. The staff couldn't be more pleasant and friendly. They deserve every success and we most definitely will be back. Nipped off the A303 for a pub lunch. Based on good reviews, we thought we’d try the Rosewood Restaurant/Walnut Tree. Turns out the friendly Caribbean couple who manage the pub have only been running it 5 weeks, and we were definitely not disappointed. Although limited...to three starters and roasts (might have been because it was a Sunday the food was amazing! Would highly recommend. The roast beef was excellent with beautifully seasoned vegetables. Looking at the menu, they do weeknight Caribbean platters which looked so appetising and definitely worth a revisit in the future!

We visited this restaurant about 2 days ago and the food was fantastic with reasonable prices. The place was very busy, but unfortunately the cleanliness of the toilets was not up to standard. During my last visit, I was shocked to find excrement on the toilet seat, which was quite unhygienic. However, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. We ordered the Sunday roast, which looked promising on the menu but ended up being a disappointing and bland meal with small portions. They should consider increasing the portion size and improving the taste. The menu has potential, but adding more seafood dishes would be a great addition.

While traveling west to Bude, we stumbled upon The Walnut Tree as we were looking for a snack and a short break from our long journey. It was a great find. We decided to try the Caribbean tapas and were amazed by the authentic and flavorful dishes. We chose two different chicken options (thigh and wing) which were delicious, and the homemade coleslaw was excellent as well. The staff was friendly and even took the time to chat with us, making us feel very welcome. We will definitely make a point to visit again on our next trip, and we plan to try more of the menu options as there were plenty to choose from.
