"Came on a recommendation that Sai Spice was a fabulous restaurant, much to our disappointment. Firstly, the starters were not overly impressive 6/10 The mains arrived at different times as opposed to arriving together despite a request to the waiter. Dishes: The IDLI that was ordered was soggy and arrived 15 minutes before any other mains were served. Keema was bland and tasteless, sent it back and returned with a couple of extra chillies mixed in. Same applied to the the Chinchinada and the biryani. It's fair to say that the dishes are lacking in authenticity, spice and flavour, how ironic that the name of the restaurant is called Sai Spice. If the restaurant is empty on a Saturday night then that should be indication of one thing and one thing only."

This restaurant is excellent, serving authentic Indian cuisine with attentive staff. We encountered a problem with one dish, but the manager quickly resolved it to our satisfaction. I would happily return for the delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommended. View menu

This is a superb restaurant. The ambiance, the staff and especially the food were excellent. We have eaten in man6 Indian restaurants over the years and this is one of the best. Even the house wine, Pinot Grigio, was first rate. We shall be back, no doubt about that. Many of its clientele when we visited were Indian, which speaks for itself.

I had a wonderful experience at this cozy curry house. It was packed with Asian families, a good indicator of delicious food. I ordered the Lamb Chattinad, a flavorful and authentic curry with the perfect amount of spice and seasonings. To start, I tried the Chicken Lollipop, a fusion dish of chicken wings fried with a mix of spices and served with a tasty dip. I'm so happy I picked this restaurant during my trip to Manchester.

I am disappointed by the recent price hike at this restaurant, as it has now become too expensive for me to dine in or even order takeout. While the food was always reasonably priced before, it is now too costly. It's a shame because I always enjoyed the food here. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the prices for items like 6 popadoms for £9 or a seek kebab starter for £7 are just too high. Paying £13 for a small curry is also too much. I will have to look for a new Indian restaurant to try. View menu

The difference between a classy and an ordinary restaurant lies in the way they listen to suggestions from customers. Especially if it involves some criticism. We had dinner at the Chorlton branch yesterday. One of the items did not measure up to our expectations. When we brought it to the notice of the manager, Mr Shibin, his response was truly praiseworthy. He arranged an immediate replacement, which was as good as we wanted. We left the place feeling very impressed with their customer care. With this kind of customer friendly attitude, they are bound to do well. I strongly recommend a visit. Dr Harikrishnan and friends.

I visited for dinner with my family today evening at chorlton. But I was so unhappy and angry with their hospitality. The staff was not kind enough to let us finish our food and take away the plates. We ordered food for 50 bucks. Such behaviour and attitude is unacceptable. It wasn't late evening, instead just 6 pm in the evening and there was just few customers. They were behaving nicely with rest of the customers but not with us. It felt as if they are serving us for FREE. They were not letting us enjoy the food. It felt very insulting. I have always recommended this restaurant to everyone but today onwards I can't support this business.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
