"The sign outside proudly claims to offer authentic Japanese food, but if this is truly the case, then the poor soul running this establishment hasn't been home in years. The green tea was thin and of poor quality, and the miso soup tasted worse than pre-packaged varieties from the supermarket. The shrimp and mackerel in my sushi had a strong vinegar (wine) flavor, indicating they were anything but fresh. Additionally, the sushi rice lacked rice vinegar, which resulted in a bland and unappealing taste overall. I would have given this place 2 stars for making an effort to create a pleasant atmosphere, but since they insist on calling themselves authentic, I can only give them 1 star."

I love this place! I and my man would go at least once the week, now live in brighton, we still try to go it is so good! the personal is amazing to all so friendly and know our order now. I would definitely recommend all sushi lovers!

We will definitely go back to Sa Sa Sushi if in the area and will continue to use their delivery service (minimum £15 order within 2 mile radius). It doesn’t push Pham Sushi from top spot but Sa Sa Sushi is the best place for Japanese food in Angel.

Didn't have the best of vibes as we walked in. The long, light wood panelled room was harmless enough, and the sushi counter to the right gave the hope of fresh preparation, but it was empty bar the chef, a brace of middle aged couples and the waiter I'd

Sasa Sushi is a hidden gem in Islington a little Japanese restaurant with a rather uninviting front. But once you get inside, great things await! The sushi is great, and I would also recommend the yellowtail tataki and the tempura. Service is very quick and friendly. I would also mention the cleanliness of the toilets they are among the best in London. I just wish they'd fix/replace the awful hand dryer in the gents!

Not bad. While it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, it was certainly decent. The rice was well-prepared, and the sashimi, especially the yellowtail, was fresh and delicious. The fried items were also enjoyable. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Everything came together nicely. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again, but I would definitely return if I found myself nearby and craving raw fish. For a complete review, visit [hidden link].

I visited this restaurant on a Friday night without a reservation, so I ended up sitting at the end of the sushi bar. It was great because I could admire the raw fish up close. I ordered a mixed sushi platter, and the salmon and tuna were absolutely divine and incredibly fresh. Then I tried a rice dish topped with katsu, which was very filling and perfect for a chilly winter evening. To finish off the meal, I had a refreshing dessert of shaved ice with green tea syrup, which was excellent. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience and I’ll definitely make a reservation next time!
