"We were a party of three and we waited about 15 min to be seated which was not a problem because we came without reservation and it was nice weather so we waited outside on a bench. There are normal tables inside and also there are low tables where you take your shoes off and sit on the ground. Also the low tables are outside so you can enjoy the nice weather if you want. I had edamame, tempura and noodle soup and my friends had sushi with salmon. My food was delicious and sushi also looked delicious although I didn't try it. Staff was nice and friendly and they spoke English and German with us and also they were good at answering our questions and requests. I had Japanese beer that was very tasty with a light flavor. I don't understand the negative reviews this restaurant got because the staff was attentive and nice and the food amazing and it reminded me of my time in Japan."

Pretty bland rolls that are stingy on the fish portion and mostly rice. There are definitely better places.

Been here every summer since 2008. I can feel the euphoria even thinking this place. Staff is friendly, environment is inspiring with nu-jazz backround music, you can watch and be mesmerised by chefs knifeskills and the food is unbeliable good!

Fantastic Sushi place with great quality and reasonable prices! Great sushi chef and super nice team! Never been disappointed. Great fresh sushi, New York style and traditional sushi plus a lot of great modern appetizers. Perfect place for a great evening!

Sasaya is a simple and yet traditional sushi restaurant run by Japanese people who really seem to enjoy what they do! The sushi and all the other Japanese dishes that they offer are just fabulous and the service is perfect. Excellent prices! Highly recommended

I went there with my gf on a Friday night, the place was very crowded which led me to believe it would be great, as back where I'm from I can't recall such a long waiting time for eating sushi - more than half an hour. We ordered the chef nigiri (12 pieces), the traditional nigiri (18 pieces) and the dragon roll.It was all pretty average, nothing that would make me come back here.

There was a lovely buzz and the chefs and waitresses were all Japanese, which added a sense of authenticity to the place. We ordered small plates of prawn tempura, scallop and tofu dumpling and grilled octopus to share. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. It was fascinating to watch the sushi chef work deftly and quickly to order. The sashimi platter we ordered was so fresh the fish melted in the mouth. The only downside to the food was the Californian rolls we ordered. The rice seemed slightly overcooked and had a slightly mushy texture. The biggest surprise was the bill. Having eaten like kings all night, the bill was extremely reasonable. All in all, if we were to v...
