Schroeder's Wacht am Rhein

On the banks of the Rhine,great place to have an evening meal, watch the boats go by and the sun set over the nearby hills. Good food,good serviceand not expensive. Highly recommended

Service good and menu with a nice selection, out dog enjoyed a bow of water . The view of the Rhine magic and evocative of times in the past , watching the barges float by a very relaxing meal

Lovely spot on the Rhine for a nice lunch in a restaurant with friendly staff and moderate prices and just minutes away from the Remagen bridge although the Peace Museum is closed at the moment until further notice. It is also conveniently next...to a jetty where you can pick up a boat and sail down the river.

We enjoyed a very good leisurely Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The standard of food was very good. The restaurant overlooks the Rhine. We were particularly impressed with the attentive and prompt service provided even though the restaurant was completely full as a river cruise...ship had recently arrived and every available table was taken by an influx of diners from the ship.

I went out of our way to visit Remagen for two reasons. First I wanted to visit the Remagen bridge site and secondly I really wanted authentic German food. Schroeder's Wacht am Rhein provided the food. My wife and I each had wiener schnitzel. It...was really good. This restaurant is right on the Rhein. This is at the far end of the promenade down towards the Remagen Friedensmuseum. It's quieter and you escape the more crowded restaurants near the town centre. Just take sweat and the waitresses come across to you. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The...service was very good. One word of warning. The Remagen ferry boat leaves every minutes or so from just below the seating area. Choose a table nearest the road, which is very quiet and you'll avoid the worst of the noise and diesel smell.

Happened on this restaurant as wanted one outside overlooking the Rhine. The weather was beautiful. A young helpful waitress gave us a menu in English. She said no lunchtime special menu was available so chose two mains from the full menu. They came with a...fresh salad starters. My partner had pork kebab with rice and fries I had minced pork which also came with rice and fries. Both tasted very good. Toilets over the road in the main restaurant up steep stairs. Parking on the street if you can get parked.

We went to my husband to have a great dinner on our Wedding annaversary.but we weren't delighted.the staff was friendly but they were so young,without experience.i ordered garnelen in cream sauce.it was euros and i got pieces of garnelen.the sauce was not...jummy and it was instant.my husband ordered csevap (have to be different meat) instead of meat it was made by minced pork.was not good taste.my turkey salad was ok but nothing special.we spend more euros for nothing.i was fustrated.only one positiv :terace next to the Rhine side.beatiful view. Next time we will choos an other restaurant.for example Anker! View menu
